Hill Field
Hill Air Force Base is a major U.S. Air Force (USAF) base located in northern Utah, just south of the city of Ogden, and bordering the Cities of Layton, Clearfield, Riverdale, Roy, and Sunset with its largest border immediately adjacent to Clearfield and Layton. It is about north of Salt Lake City. The base was named in honor of Major Ployer Peter Hill of the U.S. Army Air Corps, who died test-flying ''NX13372'', the original Model 299 prototype of the B-17 Flying Fortress bomber. As of 2018 Hill AFB is the sixth-largest employer in the state of Utah. Hill AFB is the home of the Air Force Materiel Command's (AFMC) Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) which is the worldwide manager for a wide range of aircraft, engines, missiles, software, avionics, and accessories components. The OO-ALC is part of the Air Force Sustainment Center. Hilly Flanks
The Hilly Flanks are the upland areas surrounding the Fertile Crescent of Southwest Asia, including the foothills of the Zagros Mountains, the Taurus Mountains, and the highland parts of the Levant. The Hilly Flanks foothill chain spans over 1000 miles, including parts of Turkey, northwestern Iraq, and western Iran. The region is just north of Mesopotamia, with similar characteristics of fertility with the added trait of foothills and plateaus. The term was coined by Robert Braidwood in 1948. He proposed that the Neolithic Revolution began in the Hilly Flanks because these areas received enough rainfall for agriculture without irrigation. He also observed that many of the wild progenitors of Domestication, domesticated crops had their natural habitats in the Hilly Flanks, as did wild sheep and Wild goat, goat. Leonard Hill Films was a production company that was founded in 1981 as Hill-Mandelker Films. The company mainly specialized in made-for-television-movies, producing two television series in 1987 and a feature film in 2011. The company has since closed down following the release of ''Dorfman in Love'' in 2011. History In 1981, following the success of ''Amber Waves,'' an ABC TV movie released the previous year, ABC executive Leonard Hill got together with ''Amber Waves''’ executive producer Phillip Mandelker to form a company where they would start their own production banner. Hillfield House
Hillfield House is a grade II listed house in Denmark Road, Gloucester, in England. The building, in the Italianate style popularised by Charles Barry, is faced in ashlar Bath stone, with a centrally placed tower and a porte-cochère entrance. It was built in 1867–69 by Albert Estcourt to a design by John Giles for the timber merchant Charles Walker, and replaced an earlier house of 1826 known as Woodbine Hill. One source states that the previous building was a "classical villa which dates back to around 1820". It once had extensive grounds, but these are now a park known as Hillfield Gardens. The description in December 2020 stated: "Now a Council-owned public park covering about 1.6 hectares, Highfield Gardens is supported by an active Friends group which organises annual events". Hillfield Court is a prominent art deco residential mansion block in Belsize Park, in the London Borough of Camden, built in 1934. It is located off Belsize Avenue and can also be accessed from Glenloch Road. It is one of the many purpose built mansion blocks on Haverstock Hill between Chalk Farm and Hampstead. It is close to the amenities near Belsize Park tube station, as well as the shops of Belsize Village, South End Green and Hampstead. Site history Hillfield Court sits on what was once a large country estate known as the Belsize Estate. The first recorded building on the site of what today is Hillfield Court was built in around 1646. It was known as the ''Blue House'' and was one of many rural abodes in the area belonging to wealthy merchants, who wanted a country residence within easy reach of London. State Route 232 is primarily a north and south highway located completely in Layton, Davis County, Utah that begins at SR-126 and runs to the south entrance of Hill Air Force Base. Route description From its southern terminus in Layton, SR-232 heads north-east and intersects with I-15. The road then veers north. Near the northern terminus the road intersects with SR-193 and ends at the south entrance of Hill Air Force Base.
