Hidden Homicide
''Hidden Homicide'' is a 1959 British mystery film directed by Anthony Young and written by Bill Luckwell and Anthony Young. It is based on the 1951 novel ''Death at Shinglestrand'' by Paul Capon. The film stars Griffith Jones (actor), Griffith Jones, Patricia Laffan, James Kenney, Bruce Seton, Peter Carver and Danny Green (actor), Danny Green. The film was released on 25 February 1959 by General Film Distributors, Rank Film Distributors. Plot Writer Michael Cornforth (Griffiths Jones) wakes up in a strange house in the countryside – fully clothed and holding a gun. On investigating, he discovers his cousin's dead body in the kitchen, and soon finds himself accused of murder. Tony Young (director)
Tony Young (1917 - 1966) was a British film director and television producer. His films include ''Penny Points to Paradise (1951)'', ''The Eternal Question'' ( 1956) and '' The Runaway'' (1963). ''Penny Points to Paradise'' was the feature film debut of the stars of ''The Goon Show'', Spike Milligan, Harry Secombe and Peter Sellers. Young later went on to produce The Telegoons for BBC Television. Richard Shaw (actor)
Richard Shaw (19 November 1920 – 11 April 2010) was an English actor remembered for appearing in the science fiction franchises ''Quatermass'' and ''Doctor Who'', as well as having a regular role as henchman Ryan in the children's series ''Freewheelers''. Shaw appeared in the 1959 TV serial of '' Quatermass and the Pit'' playing drill operator Sladden. He was asked to reprise the role in the 1967 film adaptation but was unable to do so due to other commitments. Duncan Lamont (from ''The Quatermass Experiment'') was therefore cast instead. Shaw made three appearances in ''Doctor Who'': ''The Space Museum'', ''Frontier in Space'' and ''Underworld''. Outside of work, it seems Richard might have believed in the existence of alien lizards and UFOs.
