Henri Hurskainen
Henri Mikael Hurskainen (born 13 September 1986) is a Swedish badminton player who competed for Sweden at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Hurskainen has won several gold and silver medals in badminton championships. Hurskainen was born in Emmaboda, Sweden, to Finnish parents who had moved to Sweden in the 1980s. Emmaboda
Emmaboda () is a locality and the seat of Emmaboda Municipality, Kalmar County, Sweden. It had 4,824 inhabitants in 2010. History Until 1875, Emmaboda was called Gantesbo. Back then there were only two houses in Gantesbo, which both remain to this day. The houses are called Gantesbo A and Gantesbo B. One of the houses is located on Bökön located west of Emmaboda's sports ground. The second stands on a hill between Emmaboda parish hall and the Bjurbäck school. In 1874, Emmaboda railway station was established for the Coast-to-Coast Line (''Kust till kust-banan'') and in 1875 Karlskrona-Växjö railway was connected to the station in Emmaboda. Ville Lång
Ville Lång (born 14 February 1985) is a badminton player from Finland. He won ten consecutive Finland's National Championship men's singles title in 2005–2014, and 3 men's doubles title in 2010, 2011, and 2017. In 2003, he won bronze at the European Junior Championships. Lång competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. He announced his retirement on 31 January 2016, and received a meritorious service award from BWF. After retired from the international competition, Lång started his coaching career first in Paris where he coached the league team Aulnay-sous-Bois after which he has been the head coach of one local club in Sweden. In 2019, he was elected as vice chairman of BWF Athletes' Commission to represent the needs and views of athletes to the BWF council and committees. Swedish Masters International Badminton Championships
Swedish Masters International Badminton Championships or Swedish International Stockholm is an annual badminton tournament held in Sweden and hosted by Svenska Badmintonförbundet. It is part of the European Badminton Circuit. The tournament was started by Stockholms Badmintonförbund in 2004. Stockholms Badmintonförbund was running the tournament until 2008 and was handed over to Svenska Badmintonförbundet. The tournament was played in Sweden's capital Stockholm up until the 2013 edition. In 2014 the tournament moved to Uppsala, about 1 hour north of Stockholm, and was run by former Swedish player Pär-Gunnar Jönsson. The 2016 edition represented the first BE International Challenge circuit tournament with the new increased prize money from US$15,000 to US$17,000, and will reach $25,000 by 2018. Osleni Guerrero
Osleni Guerrero Velazco (born 18 October 1989) is a Cuban badminton player. He is the first Cuban badminton player to win a medal in the Pan American Games. Guerrero also competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Career Guerrero, born in Havana, started competing in badminton in 2000, and joined the national team in 2005. As a junior player he won the under-19 category at the 2007 Pan Am Junior Badminton Championships held at Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where he beat first seed Howard Shu of the USA, 21–13, 21–10 in the final. Guerrero won a bronze medal in the men's singles event at the 2015 Pan Am Games, losing the semi-final to Canadian Andrew D'Souza.
