Henny Huisman
Hendrikus Josephus Huisman (born 18 June 1951) is a Dutch television presenter and musician. Biography Huisman had a catholic upbringing. Originally trained as a window dresser, he was a drummer, DJ and event host before he enrolled in the world of television. Huisman began his music career in 1961 as a 10-year-old member of guitar-trio The Bright Stars alongside Margriet Eshuijs. After a spell with teenage-band The Marileens he moved on to bigger things. Huisman co-founded Lucifer in which he played drums while Eshuijs performed lead vocals; he made his television-debut on March 18, 1975, appearing on ''Van Oekel's Discohoek'' (a parody of chart-show ''TopPop''). Huisman left Lucifer after the success of ''House for sale'' and was replaced with Jan Pijnenburg, future drummer of pop/reggae-band Doe Maar. Zaandam () is a city in the Provinces of the Netherlands, province of North Holland, Netherlands. SBS6
SBS6 is a Dutch free-to-cable commercial TV channel and is a part of Talpa TV, formerly known as SBS Broadcasting B.V. and now owned by Talpa Network. Other channels of the group in the Netherlands are Net5, Veronica, and SBS9. History SBS stands for Scandinavian Broadcasting System. When the SBS Broadcasting Group started expanding outside of Scandinavia in 1995, one of the first countries where they set up a channel was the Netherlands with SBS6. SBS6 was the third Dutch commercial TV station after RTL 4 and RTL 5, both being launched in 1989 and 1993 respectively. SBS6 launched on 28 August 1995. When SBS6 was launched, they were in a tough competition with the channel Veronica, which started as a commercial station at the same time. Both SBS6 and Veronica wanted to be on channel 6 of the viewer's television. The SBS Broadcasting Group expanded their Dutch channel lineup with Net5 on 1 March 1999. ''Last Choir Standing'' is a 2008 talent show-themed television series produced by the BBC in the United Kingdom. Broadcast on BBC One in July and August 2008, the series saw amateur choirs competing each week to be the 'last choir standing'. The series was presented by Myleene Klass and Nick Knowles, with judges Russell Watson, Sharon D. Clarke and Suzi Digby. In the final, following a public telephone vote, the winners were announced as Welsh male voice choir Only Men Aloud!. A collection of songs from the series was released as an album in November 2008.
