Duke Garwood
Duke Garwood (born 1969) is a London-based, English multi-instrumentalist. Biography Duke Garwood has released six studio albums: ''Holy Week'', '' Emerald Palace'', '' The Sand That Falls'', '' Dreamboatsafari'', '' Heavy Love'', and ''Garden of Ashes''. He also played guitar on The Orb's single "Perpetual Dawn," appeared on the first two albums (''Fur'' and '' Derdang Derdang'') of the English rock band Archie Bronson Outfit on clarinet and rhaita (a Moroccan reed instrument), and most recently played guitar on Mark Lanegan's album ''Blues Funeral'' and clarinet on Savages' album ''Silence Yourself'', among many other guest appearances. In 2011, Garwood collaborated with artist Shezad Dawood in the concert performance 'New Dream Machine Project', which resumed the 1968 recording of Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones and Master Musicians of Jajouka. Heavenly Recordings is a London-based independent record label founded by Jeff Barrett in 1990. Heavenly released the first albums from Saint Etienne (band), Saint Etienne, Beth Orton and Doves (band), Doves, and early singles by Manic Street Preachers. Current Heavenly artists include Stealing Sheep, Mattiel, The Orielles, Confidence Man (band), Confidence Man, audiobooks, Pip Blom, H. Black Pudding (album)
''Black Pudding'' is a collaborative album by Mark Lanegan and the multi-instrumentalist Duke Garwood. It was recorded by Justin Smith at Pink Duck Studios and mixed by Alain Johannes at 11AD studios. The album was released in the United Kingdom by Heavenly Recordings on May 13, 2013, and in the United States by Ipecac the following day. The only single from the album, "Cold Molly", was released on April 20, 2013, as a Record Store Day exclusive. Background Garwood, a multi-instrumentalist who has worked with the Orb, Wire, Wooden Wand, Sir Richard Bishop, and Kurt Vile, among others, worked with Lanegan previously when he toured as part of The Gutter Twins, the singer's project with Greg Dulli.
