Heathcote Community
Heathcote Community is a small intentional community located in rural Maryland, USA, about north of Baltimore. The community was independently formed by School of Living members after an initiative by Mildred Loomis. She briefly joined and led the community afterward, during which time Heathcote was the School of Living Headquarters. Heathcote eventually became an independent entity on land leased to them by School of Living. Heathcote is situated on a community land trust next to a plot owned by some of its members, had a total of about 20 adult and child members, plus seasonal volunteers, at its peak. It now consists of 1 resident full-member, 3 other adults, and 2 children. Heathcote's past activities focused on the old historic mill, scheduled for renovation in 2023-24. During 2023, activities are mostly outdoor, including the community organic garden. Intentional Community
An intentional community is a voluntary residential community which is designed to have a high degree of social cohesion and teamwork from the start. The members of an intentional community typically hold a common social, political, religious, or spiritual vision, and typically share responsibilities and property. This way of life is sometimes characterized as an " alternative lifestyle". Intentional communities can be seen as social experiments or communal experiments. Google Video was a free video hosting service launched by the multinational technology company Google on January 25, 2005. Intentional Communities In The United States
Intentions are mental states in which the agent commits themselves to a course of action. Having the plan to visit the zoo tomorrow is an example of an intention. The action plan is the ''content'' of the intention while the commitment is the ''attitude'' towards this content. Other mental states can have action plans as their content, as when one admires a plan, but differ from intentions since they do not involve a practical commitment to realizing this plan. Successful intentions bring about the intended course of action while unsuccessful intentions fail to do so. Intentions, like many other mental states, have intentionality: they represent possible states of affairs. Theories of intention try to capture the characteristic features of intentions.
