Hasse & Tage ( sv, Hasse och Tage) were a popular Swedish comedy duo featuring Hans "Hasse" Alfredson and Tage Danielsson. They are sometimes known as ''Hasseåtage'', a spelling created by the Swedish press in the 1960s, but never used by the duo themselves. History Alfredson and Danielsson first met each other when they were both working at Sveriges Radio back in the 1950s, first at different departments and programmes. But one day they were put on the same project and they soon became close friends. After this they made many radio sketches at Sveriges Radio and the variety show ''Doktor Kotte slår till eller Siv Olson''. Along with Povel Ramel, Cornelis Vreeswijk and the many contributors to Hasse & Tage's radio (later, TV) show "Mosebacke monarki", Hasse & Tage was a fresh act in Swedish entertainment of the 1950s, 1960s and early 1970s, sometimes a bit reminiscent of ''Monty Python''. Gröna Hund
''Gröna hund'', complete title ''Gröna Hund på Gröna Lund'' (Green Dog on Gröna Lund, also a reference to "Röda hund", literally "Red dog", but also Swedish for "rubella"), was the first variety show produced by AB Svenska Ord. After that the writers/actors Hans Alfredsson and Tage Danielsson became known as Hasseåtage. The show premièred on 27 April 1962 on Gröna Lund in Stockholm. It also made a few performances in Göteborg, Malmö and Oslo. Personnel The show was written by both Hasse and Tage and directed by Tage. It was the first of the three "Dog-revues", the second being ''Gula Hund'' and the third one '' Svea hund''. ''Gula Hund'' (English title: ''Yellow Dog'') is a Swedish variety show that had its première the 5 June 1964 on Chinateatern in Stockholm. It was written by Hans Alfredsson and Tage Danielsson and directed by Tage. Both of the writers starred in various roles. It was the second of "three dog-revues" (so called because they all have "dog" in their name). The first one being '' Gröna Hund'' (Green Dog) and the third and last one was '' Svea hund''. Overview The show also starred Monica Zetterlund, Birgitta Andersson, Lissi Alandh, Sonya Hedenbratt, Gösta Ekman, Mille Schmidt, Stefan Böhm, Arild Eriksen, Gals and Pals and Gunnar Svenssons kvartett. Release The Prisoners To Spring
''Release the Prisoners to Spring'' ( sv, Släpp fångarne loss, det är vår!) is a 1975 Swedish comedy film directed by Tage Danielsson. At the 12th Guldbagge Awards the film won the awards for Best Film and Best Actress (Margaretha Krook). The film stars Ernst-Hugo Järegård as the prisoner Harald Hansson, a break-in expert, who one day meets Frida and her friend and learns how to bake cookies. He considers a career change, especially when he falls in love with Flora, the daughter of a city judge. The film is a cult comedy by Hasseåtage. Memorable scenes in the film are the car chase with Järegård, the musical show number in the cell performed by Jan Malmsjö, and the show number carried out simultaneously in the exercise yard by Järegård, Malmsjö and Urban Sahlin; and practically every scene with Ekman as the prison governor. ''Svea hund'', complete title ''Svea Hund på Göta Lejon'' (Svea Dog at Göta Lejon), was a Swedish variety show produced by AB Svenska Ord. It was written by Hans Alfredsson and Tage Danielsson, commonly known as Hasseåtage and directed by Tage. The show premièred on 15 February (although it had a sneak première on 9 February) 1976 on the theater Göta Lejon in Stockholm. It was the last of the three "Dog-revues"; the first was ''Gröna hund'' (Green Dog) the second being '' Gula Hund'' (Yellow Dog). Both Hasse and Tage starred in various roles. Other cast members were Gösta Ekman, Monica Zetterlund, Lena Nyman, and Tommy Körberg. Per Johan Axel Åhlin (born 7 August 1931) is a Swedish artist and director of animated films. He is known for his collaborations with the comedy duo Hasse & Tage and for his own projects such as the feature film ''The Journey to Melonia''. Career Åhlin started his career as an artist for the Hasse & Tage production ''Svenska bilder'' from 1964. After that he has worked on several other Hasse & Tage films, including the largely animated ''Out of an Old Man's Head'' from 1968, and ''The Adventures of Picasso'' from 1978, where he provided and animated Picasso's paintings. In 1970 he started his own animation studio, PennFilm Studio AB situated in Hököpinge, and has, as of 2009, directed eight feature-length films and several shorts, including '' Sagan om Karl-Bertil Jonssons julafton'' which is shown on television every Christmas Eve in Sweden, Norway and Finland In 1975 at the 11th Guldbagge Awards, Åhlin won a Special Achievement award for ''Dunderklumpen!''. ''Docking the Boat'' ( sv, Att angöra en brygga, or sometimes: ''To Go Ashore'') is a Swedish dark comedy film from 1965 directed by Tage Danielsson. The film stars Gösta Ekman, Monica Zetterlund, Hans Alfredson, Lars Ekborg and Birgitta Andersson. Monica Zetterlund also performed the theme song. Plot A group of friends are to celebrate the summer on a small island in the Stockholm Archipelago. The plan is to eat crayfish and drink snaps, a quintessentially Swedish tradition. Some are already in the house on the island (with the food) and the rest of the group arrives by boat (bringing the snaps), but they experience great difficulties while trying to come ashore. ''Out of an Old Man's Head'' ( sv, I huvet på en gammal gubbe) is a 1968 Swedish adult film directed by Per Åhlin and Tage Danielsson, starring Hans Alfredson as an old man remembering his past. Partly a black comedy, the film was released around the same time as the urban renewal of the Klara quarters in Stockholm, and could be seen as a comment both on the demolishing of the old buildings and on the welfare state in general. Out of the total running time of 77 minutes, about 50 minutes are animated. It is considered to be the first Swedish animated feature film, although the first one that was fully animated was Agaton Sax and the Bykoebing Village Festival. ''Spader, Madame!'' is a Swedish variety show that had its première on 10 January 1969 at the Oscarsteatern in Stockholm. It was written by Hans Alfredson and Tage Danielsson, the duo known as Hasse & Tage, and directed by Danielsson. Both of the writers starred in the show; Hasse played the banker Falkenström and Tage friherr von Löwenskiöld. The show also starred Monica Zetterlund, Birgitta Andersson, Grynet Molvig, Martin Ljung, Gösta Ekman, Fatima Ekman, Fina Kören and Gunnar Svenssons Salongsorkester. Öre () is the centesimal subdivision of the Swedish krona. In the Swedish language, the plural of ''öre'' is either ''öre'' or ''ören''. The name ''öre'' derives from the Latin word ''aereus/aurum'', meaning gold. The corresponding subdivisions of the Norwegian and Danish krones are called øre. History During the Middle Ages, the öre was a unit of Swedish currency equal to 1/8 of a ''mark'', 3 ''örtugar'' or either 24, 36 or 48 '' penningar'' (depending on the geographical area in which it was used). The Apple War
''The Apple War'' ( sv, Äppelkriget) is a 1971 Swedish comedy-drama film directed by Tage Danielsson, starring Gösta Ekman, Hans Alfredsson, Tage Danielsson, Monica Zetterlund and Max von Sydow. The political theme of the film is the battle between nature on the one hand and commercialisation and industrialisation on the other set to exploit and ultimately destroy land and natural resources. The film can also be seen as an early criticism of globalisation as it depicts foreign, and large scale, capitalist investors and entrepreneurs as exploiters working side by side with domestic, small scale, capitalists. The songs in ''The Apple War'' are composed and written by Evert Taube, who also makes a cameo in the film as the old man who dances with Monica Zetterlund at the end party, and while there also recites a part of one of his most famous songs, "Calle Schewens vals", performed by the cast in the same scene at the end.
