Spader, Madame!
''Spader, Madame!'' is a Swedish variety show that had its première on 10 January 1969 at the Oscarsteatern in Stockholm. It was written by Hans Alfredson and Tage Danielsson, the duo known as Hasse & Tage, and directed by Danielsson. Both of the writers starred in the show; Hasse played the banker Falkenström and Tage friherr von Löwenskiöld. The show also starred Monica Zetterlund, Birgitta Andersson, Grynet Molvig, Martin Ljung, Gösta Ekman, Fatima Ekman, Fina Kören and Gunnar Svenssons Salongsorkester. The show was later adapted for television, using Sturehov Manor near Stockholm as the setting. This has been released on DVD and the film soundtrack has been released for both LP and CD. Sturehov Manor
Sturehov Manor ( sv, Sturehovs slott; sometimes ''Sturehof'') is a manor house in Botkyrka Municipality, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. The manor contains well-preserved 18th-century interiors. History Sturehov is located in an area which has been inhabited for a long time. In the Middle Ages, a small hamlet called Averhulta lay here, owned at one time by the head of the royal council, Bo Jonsson (Grip), Bo Jonsson, and later by the Sture family. Sturehov derives its name from statesman Svante Stensson Sture, who seems to have been the first owner of the estate as such; the name was changed from Averhulta in his honour in the 1680s. In 1562 he acquired the land in an exchange with the Crown. The estate stayed in the Sture family until the death of Ebba Mauritzdotter Leijonhufvud, ''née'' Sture, after whose death it passed to statesman Johan Oxenstierna. ''Rosamunde, Fürstin von Zypern'' (''Rosamunde, Princess of Cyprus'') is a play by Helmina von Chézy, which is primarily remembered for the incidental music which Franz Schubert composed for it. Music and play premiered in Vienna's Theater an der Wien on 20 December 1823.Deutsch 1978 p. 499 The play The text version of Chézy's original play, in four acts, as premiered with Schubert's music, is lost. Impromptus (Schubert)
Franz Schubert's Impromptus are a series of eight pieces for solo piano composed in 1827. They were published in two sets of four impromptus each: the first two pieces in the first set were published in the composer's lifetime as Op. 90; the second set was published posthumously as Op. 142 in 1839 (with a dedication added by the publisher to Franz Liszt). The third and fourth pieces in the first set were published in 1857 (although the third piece was printed by the publisher in G major, instead of G as Schubert had written it, and remained available only in this key for many years). The two sets are now catalogued as D. 899 and D. 935 respectively. They are considered to be among the most important examples of this popular early 19th-century genre. The queen of spades (Q) is one of 52 playing cards in a standard deck: the queen of the suit of spades (). In Old Maid and several games of the Hearts family, it serves as a single, undesirable card in the deck. Roles by game In the Hearts family of card games, the queen of spades is usually considered an unlucky card; it is the eponym of the Black Maria and Black Lady variants of Hearts. The player who ends up with the queen of spades after a match scores 13 points (points are to be avoided in this game). ''Winterreise'' (, ''Winter Journey'') is a song cycle for voice and piano by Franz Schubert ( D. 911, published as Op. 89 in 1828), a setting of 24 poems by German poet Wilhelm Müller. It was commissioned by the renowned clarinetist Ferdinand Troyer and came from the same period as two of Schubert's other major chamber works, the 'Rosamunde' and 'Death and the Maiden' string quartets. Symphony No
A symphony is an extended musical composition in Western classical music, most often for orchestra. Although the term has had many meanings from its origins in the ancient Greek era, by the late 18th century the word had taken on the meaning common today: a work usually consisting of multiple distinct sections or movements, often four, with the first movement in sonata form. Symphonies are almost always scored for an orchestra consisting of a string section (violin, viola, cello, and double bass), brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments which altogether number about 30 to 100 musicians. "" (German for "The Trout"), Op. 32, 550. is a lied, or song, composed in early 1817 for solo voice and piano with music by the Austrian composer Franz Schubert (1797–1828). Schubert chose to set the text of a poem by Christian Friedrich Daniel Schubart, first published in the ' in 1783. The full poem tells the story of a trout being caught by a fisherman, but in its final stanza reveals its purpose as a moral piece warning young women to guard against young men. When Schubert set the poem to music, he removed the last verse, which contained the moral, changing the song's focus and enabling it to be sung by male or female singers. Schubert produced six subsequent copies of the work, all with minor variations. Schubert wrote "" in the single key of D-flat major with a varied (or modified) strophic form.
