Harrow Hill A.F.C. is an English football club which is based in the village of Harrow Hill, Gloucestershire, nearby Drybrook. The club are currently members of the and play at Larksfield Road. The club also have two other senior men's teams that play in the North Gloucestershire Football League and are affiliated to the Gloucestershire County FA. History Established in 1932, the club joined the Gloucestershire County League in 1982. After finishing runners up in 1994–95, they were promoted to Division One of the Hellenic League. They finished third in 1994–95, earning promotion to the Premier Division. Despite finishing in the bottom three every season, the club avoided relegation until 2001–02, when they went back down to Division One West. Matthew Keith Hall (born 1 October 1964), known professionally as Harry Hill, is an English comedian, presenter and writer. He pursued a career in stand-up following years working as a medical doctor, developing an off-beat, energetic performance style that fused elements of surrealism, observational comedy, slapstick, satire and music. When performing, he usually wears browline glasses and a dress shirt with a distinctive oversized collar and cuffs. Drybrook is a village and civil parish in the Forest of Dean in west Gloucestershire, England. Location It lies in the North West edge of the Royal Forest, bordering with Herefordshire, about three miles from Cinderford, and about two miles from Mitcheldean. The Gloucestershire County Football League is a football league in England, founded in 1968. The league is affiliated to the Gloucestershire County FA. Slimbridge A
Slimbridge is a village and civil parish near Dursley in Gloucestershire, England. It is best known as the home of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust's Slimbridge Reserve which was started by Sir Peter Scott. Canal and Patch Bridge The Gloucester and Sharpness Canal runs through the village, and under Patch Bridge which must be crossed to reach the Wildfowl Trust. Damage to the decking of Patch Bridge in October 2007 resulted in a temporary repair being made using steel plates. This had the effect of unbalancing the bridge, which warped and jammed on 23 October 2007. The swing bridge was replaced in early 2009. Nearby there is a caravan park and pub.
