Harp
The harp is a stringed musical instrument that has a number of individual strings running at an angle to its soundboard; the strings are plucked with the fingers. Harps can be made and played in various ways, standing or sitting, and in orchestras or concerts. Its most common form is triangular in shape and made of wood. Andy Harper (born 13 May 1967) is a former Australian soccer player who played in Australia's National Soccer League (NSL) for Sydney City, Sydney Olympic, St George, Marconi, Brisbane Strikers, Newcastle Breakers and Newcastle United. Brian David Harper (born October 16, 1959) is an American former catcher in Major League Baseball who played for teams in both the American and National Leagues during his 16-year career (-). He most recently served as the hitting coach of the Double-A Erie SeaWolves. Playing career Minor leagues Harper was drafted by the California Angels in the fourth round of the amateur draft before being assigned to the rookie-league Idaho Falls Angels. He would then progress rapidly through the Angels' system, displaying the skills that he became known for in his major league career: an above-.300 average, good plate discipline, but an only average catcher's arm. Brett David Harper (born July 31, 1981) is an American former first baseman in Minor League Baseball. He is the son of former Major Leaguer Brian Harper. Career Harper was drafted by the New York Mets in the 45th round of the 2000 MLB Draft out of Scottsdale Community College. He began his professional baseball career with the Kingsport Mets in 2001 and remained in the Mets farm system through 2007, raising as high as Double-A, where he played with the Binghamton Mets from 2004–2007.
