Hanoi Street Circuit
The Hanoi Circuit or Hanoi Street Circuit ( Vietnamese: ''Trường đua đường phố Hà Nội'') was a motor racing venue located in the Nam Từ Liêm district of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. It was a street circuit designed to host the Vietnamese Grand Prix, a planned round of the Formula One World Championship. The circuit is long and was designed by circuit architect Hermann Tilke. History The Hanoi Circuit was originally expected to make its debut on the Formula One calendar in 2020, but the race was cancelled in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The planned next Formula One race on the circuit was also dropped from the 2021 calendar because of the arrest on corruption charges of a key official responsible for the race in Hanoi. Nam Từ Liêm (''South Từ Liêm'') is an urban district (''quận'') of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. It was formed on 27 December 2013, when the rural Từ Liêm district was split into two urban districts: Bắc Từ Liêm and Nam Từ Liêm. The district currently has 10 wards, covering a total area of 32.19 square kilometers. As of 2019, there were 264,246 people residing in the district, the population density is 8200 inhabitants per square kilometer. COVID-19 Pandemic In Vietnam
The COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The number of confirmed cases is the highest total in Southeast Asia, and the 13th highest COVID-19 pandemic by country and territory, in the world. Hanoi is the most affected locale with 1,609,473 confirmed cases and 1,221 deaths, followed by Ho Chi Minh City with 612,746 cases and 19,984 deaths; however, the Ministry of Health (Vietnam), Vietnamese Ministry of Health has estimated that the real number of cases may be four to five times higher. On 31 December 2019, China announced the discovery of a cluster of COVID-19 pandemic in mainland China, pneumonia cases in Wuhan. The is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The , more famously known as the , is a long motorsport race track located in Ino, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan and operated by Honda Mobilityland, a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co, Ltd. Circuit de Monaco is a street circuit laid out on the city streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine around the harbour of the Principality of Monaco. The Vietnamese Grand Prix ( vi, Giải đua Việt Nam) was a proposed Formula One Grand Prix that was first due to take place in April 2020. The race was initially postponed and later cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the inaugural edition of the event postponed indefinitely. The Grand Prix was removed from the 2021 calendar because of the arrest of Hanoi People's Committee Chairman Nguyễn Đức Chung on corruption charges unrelated to the Grand Prix. The 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship was the motor racing championship for Formula One cars which was the 71st running of the Formula One World Championship. It marked the 70th anniversary of the first Formula One World Drivers' Championship. The championship was recognised by the governing body of international motorsport, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars.
