Hando Mugasto (until 1925 Heinrich-Voldemar Monstrum; 18 January 1907 Rakvere – 11 June 1937 Tartu) was an Estonian printmaker, neorealist. 1924-1933 he studied at Pallas Art School Pallas University of Applied Sciences ( et, Kõrgem Kunstikool Pallas) is a university of applied sciences that provides art education in Tartu, Estonia. Rakvere
Rakvere is a town in northern Estonia and the administrative centre of the Lääne-Viru ''maakond'' (county), 20 km south of the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea. Rakvere is the 8th most populous urban area in Estonia. Rakvere has a total area of 10.75 square kilometres, and although about 15% of it is covered by forest, the city is still populated so densely as to make it the third most densely populated city in Estonia. Tartu

Neorealism (art)
In art, neorealism refers to a few movements. In literature Portuguese neorealism was a Marxist literary movement that began slightly before Salazar's reign. It was mostly in line with socialist realism. In painting Neo-realism in painting was established by the ex-Camden Town Group painters Charles Ginner and Harold Gilman at the beginning of World War I. They set out to explore the spirit of their age through the shapes and colours of daily life. Their intentions were proclaimed in Ginner’s manifesto in ''New Age'' (1 January 1914), which was also used as the preface to Gilman and Ginner’s two-man exhibition of that year. It attacked the academic and warned against the ‘decorative’ aspect of imitators of Post-Impressionism. Pallas Art School (1919–1940)
Pallas Art School ( et, Kõrgem Kunstikool Pallas) was an Estonian art school which existed 1919–1944 in Tartu. The school was the first Estonian art school which gave higher education in art. The school was established in 1919 by the ''Pallas'' Art Society. Key persons of establishing were Konrad Mägi Konrad Vilhelm Mägi (1 November 1878 – 15 August 1925) was an Estonian painter, primarily known for his landscape work. He was one of the most colour-sensitive Estonian painters of the first decades of the 20th century, and Mägi's works on ..., Aleksander Tassa, Ado Vabbe, Johannes Einsild and Anton Starkopf.
