Hanappe Bazooka
is a Japanese manga series created by Kazuo Koike and Go Nagai. It was originally published in Shueisha's ''Weekly Young Jump'' from 1979-06-07 to the issue of 1982-01-07/14. Kazuo Koike
was a prolific Japanese manga writer ( gensakusha), novelist, screenwriter, lyricist and entrepreneur. He is best known for his violent, artful ''seinen'' manga, notably ''Lone Wolf and Cub'' (with Goseki Kojima, 1970–6), '' Lady Snowblood'' (with Kazuo Kamimura, 1972–3) and ''Crying Freeman'' (with Ryoichi Ikegami, 1986–8), which – along with their numerous media adaptations − have been credited for their influence on the international growth of Japanese popular culture. Career Early in Koike's career, he studied under ''Golgo 13'' creator Takao Saito and served as a writer on the series. is an editorial category of Japanese comics marketed toward young adult men. is a Japanese ''seinen'' manga magazine published by Shueisha. Launched in 1979, it is published under Shueisha's ''Jump'' line of magazines. The chapters of series that run in ''Weekly Young Jump'' are collected and published in ''tankōbon'' volumes under the "Young Jump Comics" imprint every four months. Many of the featured series are known to contain heavy violence and a fair amount of sexual content. The magazine is headquartered in Tokyo.
