Haldor Lægreid (born 30 March 1970) is a Norwegian musical artist. He is most recognized as the performer of the power ballad " On My Own", Norway's entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Norway participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with the song "I'm Not Afraid to Move On" written by Arve Furset and VJ Strøm. The song was performed by Jostein Hasselgård. The Norwegian broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK) returned to the Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence following their withdrawal in 2002 as one of the bottom six countries in the 2001 contest. NRK organised the national final ''Melodi Grand Prix 2003'' in order to select the Norwegian entry for the 2003 contest in Riga, Latvia. Twelve entries competed in a show that took place on 1 March 2003 and the winner was determined over two rounds of public televoting. Jostein Hasselgård
Jostein Hasselgård (born 24 March 1979) is a Norwegian singer. He was the winner of Norway's national pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest and he won Norway a fourth place in the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with the ballad " I'm Not Afraid To Move On". He started to play the piano when he was six years old and has trained in several musical genres. Following his achievement in 2003 Hasselgård sang at various concerts in the southeastern part of Norway. His home page indicates that his career as an entertainment artist has been uneventful since 2004. He has studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo to focus and also worked full-time as a kindergarten teacher.
