Håkon Opdal
Håkon Eikemo Opdal (born 11 June 1982) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays for Brann in the Eliteserien, as a goalkeeper. He has previously played for Brann and Start, where he won Tippeligaen in 2007 and the Norwegian Cup in 2004. While playing for Brann, Opdal was awarded Kniksen Award as the best goalkeeper in Norway in 2006 and 2007, and he was also the first choice goalkeeper at the Norwegian national team where he was capped 12 times between 2006 and 2008. Club career Opdal was born in Odda, and played for Odda FK until he joined SK Brann in 2000. Opdal made his debut for the first team in the Third Round match of the 2001 Norwegian Football Cup against Ørn-Horten. He made his debut in Tippeligaen in the match against Rosenborg on 27 October 2002. Odda
Odda () is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1913 until its dissolution in 2020 when it was merged into Ullensvang Municipality in Vestland county. It was located in southeastern Hordaland county, surrounding the southern end of the Sørfjorden. The administrative centre was the town of Odda, which was also the main commercial and economic centre of the entire Hardanger region. 2011 Norwegian Premier League
The 2011 Tippeligaen was the 67th completed season of top division football in Norway. The competition began on 20 March 2011 and ended on 27 November 2011. Rosenborg were the defending champions, having secured their twenty-second League Championship on 24 October 2010. Sogndal, Sarpsborg 08 and Fredrikstad entered as the three promoted teams from the 2010 1. divisjon. They replaced Hønefoss, Kongsvinger and Sandefjord who were relegated to the 2011 1. divisjon. Molde won their first ever Eliteserien title with two games to spare. Molde's 58 points was a record low for an Eliteserien champion in the current 16-team system. Eirik Bakke
Eirik Bakke (born 13 September 1977 in Sogndal) is a Norwegian retired football player. He played as a right or centre midfielder. After retiring he went on to manage Sogndal, his home town. His son Johan Johanessen Bakke, is also a footballer, currently playing for Molde FK. Club career Sogndal (1993-1999) Bakke played 99 matches for Sogndal. His father Svein had previously also played for the team. Leeds United (1999-2006) Bakke was bought by Leeds United in 1999 from Sogndal for £1.75 million. Odd Grenland, Sandefjord and Start entered as the three promoted teams from the 2008 1. divisjon. They replaced HamKam who were relegated to the 2009 1. divisjon. Steinar Nilsen
Steinar Nilsen (born 1 May 1972) is a Norwegian football coach who has been in charge of Tromsø and Brann in the Norwegian Premier League. As a player, he played as a central defender at Tromsø and also had a notable stay in Italy's Serie A and Serie B, before retiring in 2004. He won two caps for Norway. He is the brother of Roger Nilsen. Player career Nilsen played for Tromsø between 1989 and 1997, before he was sold to A.C. Milan. Nilsen then moved on to S.S.C. Aasmund Bjørkan
Aasmund Bjørkan (born 3 July 1973) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who was appointed manager at Bodø/Glimt after the 2015 season. He had been the assistant of former manager Jan Halvor Halvorsen since 2013. He has previously been head coach of the First Division sides Alta and Ranheim. As a player, he played as a winger for Bodø/Glimt and Vålerenga, and won the Norwegian Cup in 1993 and 2002. Playing career Bjørkan made his debut for Bodø/Glimt in 1991, and helped win promotion ahead of the 1993 season. In his first Norwegian top division season in 1993 he played all 22 league games. Penalty Shootout (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Fotballklubben Bodø/Glimt () is a Norwegian professional football club from the town of Bodø that currently plays in Eliteserien, the Norwegian top division. The club was founded in 1916 and is frequently referred to by its original club name, "''Glimt''". Bodø/Glimt are the reigning champions in Norway after winning 2021 Eliteserien. Johan Thorbjørnsen
Johan Thorbjørnsen (born 19 August 1983) is a Norwegian former football goalkeeper. Career Born in Bergen, he became Norwegian U20 champion with Brann's junior team in 2002. Thorbjørnsen debuted in Tippeligaen on 11 April 2005 against Molde where he kept a clean sheet. During his years in Brann Thorbjørnsen was the second-choice goalkeeper, usually playing in the first rounds of the Norwegian football cup and whenever Håkon Opdal was injured. In 2007 he played three matches when Brann won Tippeligaen. He was loaned out to Sandefjord in 2008, but experienced some cardiac problems. In 2009, he was only the third choice goalkeeper behind Håkon Opdal and Kenneth Udjus, and expressed a desire to leave Brann.
