Hässelby Strand Metro Station
Hässelby Strand metro station is the western terminus of the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the district of Hässelby strand, which is part of the borough of Hässelby-Vällingby in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is at ground level and has a single island platform, with two terminal platform tracks and a siding. Access is from Fyrspannsgatan through a building across the end of the platform that also includes shops and apartments. The distance to Slussen is . The station was inaugurated on 18 November 1958 as the westerb end of an extension from Hässelby gård. As part of a redevelopment of the centre of Hässelby strand, the original single-storey station building was closed and demolished in 2013, being initially replaced by a temporary building on a different site. An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks. Storstockholms Lokaltrafik, or more formally Aktiebolaget Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (Greater Stockholm Local Transit Company), is the organisation running all of the land based public transport systems in Stockholm County. Stockholm Metro
The Stockholm metro ( sv, Stockholms tunnelbana) is a rapid transit system in Stockholm, Sweden. The first line opened in 1950, and today the system has 100 stations in use, of which 47 are underground and 53 above ground. There are three coloured lines, as shown on the tube maps, which form seven numbered routes with different termini. Routes numbered 17, 18 and 19 (green line), 13 and 14 (red line) and 10 and 11 (blue line) all go through the centre of the city, resulting in a very centralized system. Hässelby-Vällingby is a borough (''stadsdelsområde'') in the western part of Stockholm, Sweden. It is primarily made up of Hässelby ( Gård, Strand, Villastad) and Vällingby. Slussen Metro Station
Slussen is a station of the Stockholm metro, located in Slussenområdet in the district of Södermalm. The station is served by the Red and Green lines. Originally opened in 1933 as an underground tram stop, on 1 October 1950 it became the terminal of the first metro line running south to Hökarängen, it was again rebuilt when the extension of the line north to Hötorget was opened on 24 November 1957. On 5 April 1964, the first stretch of the Red line, between T-Centralen and Fruängen, was opened. Just outside the northern entrance to the metro station, there is a bus terminal for buses to the Nacka and Värmdö municipalities. The terminus for the Saltsjöbanan railway was also located here, but it was moved to Henriksdal in 2016 due to the reconstruction of Slussen.
