Hwang (Korean Name)
Hwang or Whang (or in some cases, Whong) is a Korean family name. Today, Hwangs comprise approximately 1.4% of the Korean population. The South Korean census in the year 2000 found that there were 644,294 Hwangs with over 68 Bon-gwan family clans, making it the 16th most common last name in the country. Also, it is estimated that there are over 29,410,000 individuals whose last names are the variations of Huang, including the Korean Hwang and the Vietnamese Hoang around the world. The 2004 K League was the 22nd season of the K League. The previous single format of the league was replaced by two regular stages and playoffs in this season. Each team played a total of 12 matches against every other team in each stage. After both stages were finished, two winners and the top two clubs in the overall table qualified for the playoffs. AFC Champions League
The AFC Champions League (abbreviated as ACL) is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation, and contested by Asia's top-division football clubs. It is the most prestigious club competition in Asian football, played by the national league champions (and, for some nations, one or more runners-up) of their national associations. Introduced in 1967 as the Asian Champion Club Tournament, the competition rebranded and took on its current name in 2002 as a result of the merger between the Asian Club Championship, the Asian Cup Winners' Cup and the Asian Super Cup. 2009 K-League Cup
The 2009 Korean League Cup, also known as the Peace Cup Korea 2009, was the 22nd competition of the Korean League Cup. It began on 25 March 2009, and ended on 16 September 2009. Group stage All K League clubs excluding participating clubs of the 2009 AFC Champions League entered the group stage. Clubs ranked odd-numbered places in the 2008 K League were assigned to the Group A, and even-numbered clubs were assigned to the Group B. The fledgling club Gangwon FC entered the Group A. K League (Hangul: K리그) is South Korea's professional football league. It includes first division K League 1 and second division K League 2. The 2012 K League, officially known as Hyundai Oilbank K-League 2012, was the 30th season of the K League. It was sponsored by Hyundai Oilbank. Since this season, the K League Championship and the Korean League Cup were abolished, and K League introduced the "split system", inspired by Scottish Premier League. After all 16 clubs played 30 matches each under the home and away system, they were split into the group of top eight and the group of bottom eight, playing with each other in a group again. The 2010 K League, officially known as Sonata K-League 2010, was the 28th season of the K League. It was sponsored by Hyundai Motor Company, and was held from 27 February to 5 December 2010. K-League 2008
The 2008 K League was the 26th season of the K League. The regular season and playoffs' format was the same as the one used in the 2007 season. It began on March 8, and the final of the playoffs finished on 7 December. On 2 August 2008, the first ever Jomo Cup kicked off. The K League All-Stars squared off against the J.League All-Stars at the Japan National Stadium. Lee Woon-jae was selected as the K League All-Star Team's captain and Cha Bum-kun managed the squad.
