Huzama Habayeb
Huzama Habayeb ( ar, ْحُزَامَة حَبَايِب ) is a Palestinian novelist, storyteller, columnist, translator, and poet who has won multiple awards such as Mahmoud Seif Eddin ِAl-Erani Award for Short Stories, Jerusalem Festival of Youth Innovation in Short Stories, and Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature. Upon graduating from Kuwait University in 1987 with a BA. degree in English language and Literature, she pursued careers in journalism, teaching, and translation before she eventually started to write professionally as a published author. She is a member of both the Jordanian Writers Association and the Arab Writers Federation. Personal life Habayeb was born on June 4, 1965, in Kuwait, where she also grew up and studied. The ''Al Ghad ( ar, الغد ''meaning'' Tomorrow)'' is a privately owned and the first independent Arabic daily national newspaper published in Jordan and headquartered in Amman. History and profile ''Al Ghad'' was founded by Mohammad Alayyan in August 2004. Alayyan is also the chairman of the Al Faridah Specialized Printing, publisher of the daily. As of 2005 Emad Hmoud was the editor-in-chief of the paper. Militants stormed the paper's headquarters in November 2011, attacking employees. NRK2 (NRK To) is one of the TV channels of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). It was launched on 1 September 1996. History The channel started its regular broadcasts on 1 September 1996, but the evening before, a live simulcast, led by Trond-Viggo Torgersen, was broadcast on both NRK1 and NRK2.
