Husne Ara Shahed
Husne Ara Shahed ( bn, হোসনে আরা শাহেদ) was a Bangladeshi author and educationist. Biography She was former principal of Sher-e-Bangla Balika Mahavidyalaya in Dhaka. Ara was married to A. F. Shahed Ali. They have two sons and one daughter. Her son Faheem Hasan Shahed is an academic. She was a trustee of Gono University. Bangla Academy
The Bangla Academy ( bn, বাংলা একাডেমি, ) is an autonomous institution funded by the Bangladesh government to foster the Bengali language, literature and culture, to develop and implement national language policy and to do original research in the Bengali language. Established in 1955, it is located in Burdwan House in Ramna, Dhaka, within the grounds of the University of Dhaka and Suhrawardy Udyan. The Bangla Academy hosts the annual Ekushey Book Fair. Editor In Bangladesh, ''Jaijaidin'' was published and edited by Shafik Rehman, but he lost the editorship of ''Jaijaidin'' in 2008 for his stand against a military-backed government. Kazi Rukanuddin Ahmed is now the acting editor. Sayeed Hossain Chowdhury is now the Chairman of the Board of Editors.
