Township (Taiwan)
Townships are the third-level administrative subdivisions of counties of the Republic of China (Taiwan), along with county-administered cities. After World War II, the townships were established from the following conversions on the Japanese administrative divisions: Although local laws do not enforce strict standards for classifying them, generally urban townships have a larger population and more business and industry than rural townships, but not to the extent of county-administered cities. Under townships, there is still the village as the fourth or basic level of administration. Chen Kuang-fu
Chen Kuang-fu (; born 25 October 1955) is a Taiwanese politician. He is the Magistrate of Penghu County at first between 2014 and 2018, and again since 25 December 2022. Early life Chen was born at Shagang Village, Huxi Township, Penghu County on 25 October 1955. Early career Chen is the founder of the first distillery in Penghu. He also had pushed for direct flight between Penghu and Liuqiu Island in Pingtung County. Political career 2005 Penghu County magistracy election Chen joined the 2005 Penghu County magistracy election under Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on 3 December 2005. Longmen Jianshan Pier
The Longmen Jianshan Pier () is a pier in Huxi Township, Penghu County, Taiwan. Architecture The pier spans over an area of 147.7 hectares, which consists of 131.8 hectares of water area and 15.9 hectares of land area. It has a width of 120 meters and water channel depth of 8 meters. It has eight berths. Activities The pier handles the logistics of general freight, raw materials and construction materials. Chienshan Power Plant
The Chienshan Power Plant () is a fuel-fired power plant in Huxi Township, Penghu County, Taiwan. With the total capacity of 140 MW, the power plant is the largest diesel fuel-fired power plant in Taiwan. Chienshan Power Plant is the only major power plant in Penghu Island. History In November 1994, the Executive Yuan approved the construction of the power plant. In June 1990, the first phase of the power plant was commissioned with four generation units with a total installed capacity of 10.4 MW. In March 1998, the Executive Yuan approved for the expansion of the power plant on Unit 5–12 with the total installed capacity of 11 MW. Chenggong Reservoir
Chenggong Reservoir (), also known as Chengkung Reservoir, Cheng Kung Reservoir, is a reservoir on the Penghu Islands, located in Chenggong Village, Huxi Township, Penghu County, Taiwan.
