Hush (Thomas Elliot) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee, the character first appeared in '' Batman'' #609 in January 2003 as part of the twelve-issue storyline '' Batman: Hush''. Hush serves as a criminal foil to the superhero Batman and belongs to the collective of adversaries that make up his rogues gallery. Thomas "Tommy" Elliot is a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne who attempts to murder his parents and inherit their massive fortune. His plan fails when Bruce's father, Dr. Thomas Wayne, saves his mother's life, beginning his grudge against the Waynes. Tommy grows up to become a gifted surgeon and, out of jealous resentment, allies with the Riddler to ruin Bruce's life upon discovering that he is Batman. "Hush" is the tenth episode in the fourth season of the supernatural drama television series ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' (1997–2003). It was written and directed by series creator Joss Whedon and originally aired in the United States on December 14, 1999, on The WB Television Network. After reading critical response to the series in which the dialogue was praised as the most successful aspect of the show, Whedon set out to write an episode almost completely devoid of speech. Hush were an Australian glam rock pop band, which formed in 1971 and disbanded in 1977. For most of that time their line-up was lead singer Keith Lamb with Les Gock on lead guitar, Rick Lum on bass guitar and Chris 'Smiley' Pailthorpe on drums. They had top 10 hits on the Kent Music Report with their cover versions of "Bony Moronie" and "Glad All Over" (both 1975). The group frequently appeared on the TV pop music show, ''Countdown'', and toured nationally. ''Hush'' is a 2016 American slasher film directed and edited by Mike Flanagan, and starring Kate Siegel, who also co-wrote the film with Flanagan. The film co-stars John Gallagher Jr., Michael Trucco, Samantha Sloyan, and Emilia "Emma" Graves. It was jointly produced by Trevor Macy through Intrepid Pictures and Jason Blum through Blumhouse Productions. ''Hush'' is the third studio album by American shoegaze band Asobi Seksu. It was released on February 17, 2009 by Polyvinyl Record Co., marking the band's first album for the label. ''Hush'' was recorded in the summer of 2008 and was produced by Chris Zane, who had also worked on Asobi Seksu's previous album ''Citrus'' (2006). The album demonstrated a shift from the more shoegaze-inspired work of prior releases to a mellower, quieter sound. While studying at Utrecht Conservatory of Music in the Netherlands, she formed the Ana Popović Band to pay tuition costs. The band became popular in the Dutch and German music scenes, which brought her a record deal with Ruf Records, and brought her to Memphis in 2000 to record ''Hush!'', named after her first band in Serbia, Hush.
