''Hush!'' is Ana Popović's debut solo studio album, released on January 22, 2001 on Ruf Records. While studying at Utrecht Conservatory of Music in the Netherlands, she formed the Ana Popović Band to pay tuition costs. The band became popular in the Dutch and German music scenes, which brought her a record deal with Ruf Records, and brought her to Memphis in 2000 to record ''Hush!'', named after her first band in Serbia, Hush. One track on the album, "Bring Your Fine Self Home", features a duet with Bernard Allison, son of blues great Luther Allison. ''Hush'' is the third studio album by American shoegaze band Asobi Seksu. It was released on February 17, 2009 by Polyvinyl Record Co., marking the band's first album for the label. ''Hush'' was recorded in the summer of 2008 and was produced by Chris Zane, who had also worked on Asobi Seksu's previous album ''Citrus'' (2006). The album demonstrated a shift from the more shoegaze-inspired work of prior releases to a mellower, quieter sound. Chen Pin-he (; born 15 January 1985), better known by his stage name HUSH, is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter and lyricist. He is formerly the vocalist of the Taiwanese band hush! He has worked with artists like A-Lin, Ding Dang, Lala Hsu, and Stephanie Sun. Career While at National Pingtung Senior High School, he was the lead singer of the pop music club. His interactions with the guitar club, which included future members of the band Mary See The Future ( 先知瑪莉), influenced him to learn guitar. HUSH majored in philosophy at Fu Jen Catholic University. In 2009, he signed with HIM International Music as a singer-songwriter, but he wasn't able to sell any songs. He also competed in the 3rd season of One Million Star, which was won by Lala Hsu, but he was eliminated before the top 100. Hush (regular title) is a Danish pop duo composing and performing music since 1997. The duo consists of singer Dorthe Gerlach and guitarist Michael Hartmann. History Michael Hartmann has a past as a speed metal guitarist and musician for singer-songwriter Marie Frank, but in 1997 he chose to work with his own ideas. He met Dorthe Gerlach when she was singing as a busker in the streets of Randers, and at first they formed a group with three other musicians, playing with more tempo and rock than later. In 2000 the duo agreed to play a more calm and simple music, and they moved to Copenhagen. Here they tried for some time to get a record contract, but did not succeed despite radio rotation and a movie appearance. The duo decided to go to a showcase in London in 2002 playing for the English music industry, where Tina Dico set them up with her English manager Jonathan Morley. Biography Early life Popović was born in 1976 in Belgrade. Her father (Milton Popović) introduced her to the blues, and she started to play the guitar when she was fifteen. Hush (1995–1998) In 1995, she formed the band Hush with Rade Popović (guitar, vocals), Milan Sarić (bass guitar) and Bojan Ivković (drums). Hush performed rhythm and blues, but also incorporated elements of funk and soul into their sound. The band had their first performance in the club Vox in Belgrade.
