Hurry Up And Wait (song)
"Hurry Up and Wait" is a song by Welsh rock band Stereophonics, released as the fifth and final single from their second album, ''Performance and Cocktails'' (1999), on 8 November 1999. The song reached number 11 on the UK Singles Chart, as did previous single "I Wouldn't Believe Your Radio". It also reached number 23 in Ireland, becoming the band's fifth top-30 hit there. The song is track three on the album. A live version from Morfa Stadium is on CD2 of the "Hurry Up and Wait" singles. An acoustic version is on CD2 on the "Mr. Writer" single. The music video features the band parodying the 1970 film ''M*A*S*H''. Stereophonics are a Welsh rock band formed in 1992 in the village of Cwmaman in the Cynon Valley, Wales. The band consists of Kelly Jones (lead vocals, lead guitar, keyboards), Richard Jones (bass guitar, harmonica, backing vocals), Adam Zindani (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Jamie Morrison (drums, percussion) and touring member Tony Kirkham (keyboards). ''M*A*S*H'' (stylized on-screen as ''MASH'') is a 1970 American black comedy war film directed by Robert Altman and written by Ring Lardner Jr., based on Richard Hooker's 1968 novel '' MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors''. Morfa Stadium
Morfa Stadium was an athletics stadium in the Landore area of Swansea, Wales. Constructed and in use since 1980, it was officially opened as Morfa Stadium on 20 April 1989 by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh. The stadium was subsequently used as a residential training facility for the local Swansea Harriers Athletics Club; which produced numerous local, national, international, Commonwealth, Olympic and world competitors.
