Hurra Deutschland
Hurra Deutschland (English: "Hurrah Germany") was a German satirical series running from June 19, 1989 to September 26, 1992, appearing regularly on TV station Das Erste. Overview ''Hurra Deutschland'' was easily distinguished because of its use of rubber puppets modelled on politicians and celebrities, who were poked fun at in various sketches. The puppets were built out of latex by GUM Studios, who continue to make puppets even today (many of which were used in the new series). The show was chiefly political in nature, with the main character undoubtedly being a bumbling and moronic Helmut Kohl, with supporting characters Willy Brandt, Hans-Jochen Vogel, Hans-Dietrich Genscher etc. Puppets from the German popular culture entered the ensemble to public appraisal, such as entertainer Thomas Gottschalk, singer Heino and tennis player Boris Becker. Das Erste (; "The First") is the flagship national television channel of the ARD association of public broadcasting corporations in Germany. ''Rubbery Figures'' was a satirical rubber puppet series and segment that screened in Australia in various forms from 1984 to 1990. The series ran on the ABC until 1988, when it was axed and subsequently revived as a segment on Seven Network's ''Fast Forward'' in April 1989. It featured puppets of major political and social characters. Production The ''Rubbery Figures'' programs were made in the Melbourne film studio of Peter Nicholson, who also made the puppets themselves. Almost all the character voices for the puppets were performed by Melbourne voice actor Paul Jennings. ''Spitting Image'' is a British satirical television puppet show, created by Peter Fluck, Roger Law and Martin Lambie-Nairn. First broadcast in 1984, the series was produced by 'Spitting Image Productions' for Central Independent Television over 18 series which aired on the ITV network. The series was nominated and won numerous awards, including ten BAFTA Television Awards, and two Emmy Awards in 1985 and 1986 in the Popular Arts Category. Daniel Küblböck
Daniel Dominik Kaiser-Küblböck (born Küblböck; 27 August 1985 – 9 September 2018) was a German pop singer. He placed third in the television talent show '' Deutschland sucht den Superstar'' in 2003. In September 2018, he went missing at sea off Canada while travelling on a cruise ship. He was declared dead on 10 March 2021. Shortly before the disappearance, Küblböck stated he wanted to live a female identity and began using the name Lana Kaiser.
