Hunter (1984 American TV Series)
''Hunter'' is an American crime drama television series created by Frank Lupo, which ran on NBC from September 18, 1984 to April 26, 1991. It stars Fred Dryer as Sgt. Rick Hunter and Stepfanie Kramer as Sgt. Dee Dee McCall. The title character Sgt. Rick Hunter is a wily, physically imposing, often rule-breaking homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. The show's executive producer during the first season was Stephen J. Cannell, whose company produced the series. The show, known for its graphic depiction of violence, aired for seven seasons, with 153 episodes. Walter Anthony Murphy Jr. (born December 19, 1952) is an American composer, keyboardist, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for the instrumental "A Fifth of Beethoven", a disco adaptation of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony which topped the charts in 1976 and was featured on the ''Saturday Night Fever'' soundtrack in 1977.
