''Hunted City'' ( it, Sbirro, la tua legge è lenta... la mia no! ) is a 1979 Italian poliziottesco film directed by Stelvio Massi. It represents one of the few negative roles for Merola. Production ''Hunted City'' was the fifth collaboration between actor Maurizio Merli and director Stelvio Massi. The film was shot at Incet-de Paolis in Milan and on location in Milano. Stelvio Massi
Stelvio Massi (26 March 1929 – 26 March 2004), sometimes credited "Max Steel", was an Italian director known for his "''poliziotteschi''" films. Career Massi entered the cinema industry in 1952 as assistant camera operator, and in 1954 he became a cameraman. Ten years later he began to work as cinematographer, and in 1973 he debuted as film director with ''Macrò''. Massimo Dapporto (born 8 August 1945) is an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Born in Milan, the son of the actor and comedian Carlo Dapporto, he studied acting at the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts. Dapporto began his career in the 1970s and found professional opportunities in the small screen, where he starred in TV-series and mini-series of great success, notably the medical drama '' Amico mio'' and he even played the role of Emperor Claudius in the Imperium movie ''Nero''. In 1989, he won a David di Donatello for best supporting actor for his performance in Francesca Archibugi's '' Mignon Has Come to Stay''. Poliziotteschi (; singular ''poliziottesco'') constitute a subgenre of crime and action films that emerged in Italy in the late 1960s and reached the height of their popularity in the 1970s. They are also known as ''polizieschi all'italiana'', ''Euro-crime'', ''Italo-crime'', ''spaghetti crime films'', or simply ''Italian crime films''. Influenced by both 1970s French crime films and gritty 1960s and 1970s American cop films and vigilante films, poliziotteschi films were made amidst an atmosphere of socio-political turmoil in Italy known as Years of Lead and increasing Italian crime rates. Marino Girolami (1 February 1914 – 20 February 1994) was an Italian film director and actor. Biography Marino Giorlami was born on 1 February 1914 in Rome, Italy. Formally a Professional boxer, Girolami ended his boxing career when he was 20. Following this, he got a degree as a physical therapist and opened a gym which specialized in therapeutic massages. Mario Merola (6 April 1934 – 12 November 2006) was an Italian singer and actor, most prominently known for having rejuvenated the traditional popular Neapolitan melodrama known as the ''sceneggiata''.
