Hungry (Kosheen Song)
"Hungry" is a song by British electronic music trio Kosheen. It was written by group members Sian Evans, Darren Beale, and Mark Morrison and produced by Decoder & Substance. A drum and bass track with folk-pop influences, "Hungry" was released as the fourth single (and sixth overall) from Kosheen's 2001 debut studio album, ''Resist'', on 22 April 2002. Upon its release, the track reached number 13 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Kosheen's third top-20 hit, and gave the group their highest-charting single in Finland, where it peaked at number 10. Release and critical reception In the United Kingdom, Arista Records and Moksha Recordings had originally scheduled the "Hungry" single release for 15 April 2002, but it was delayed a week to 22 April 2002. Three formats of the single were issued in the UK: two CDs and a 12-inch vinyl disc. ''Resist'' is the debut album by English electronic music group Kosheen. The album was first released on 25 June 2001 in the Benelux countries as a limited edition by Moksha Records. The UK edition was then released on September 17 as a sixteen-track record by Sony BMG. The Japanese edition, released in 2003, was a double-CD set containing fifteen B-sides and remixes, plus the exclusive track "Tell Me". The BBC used the song " Catch" in trailers for Series 1 of '' 24''. Tijs Michiel Verwest (; born 17 January 1969), known professionally as Tiësto ( ), is a Dutch DJ and music producer from Breda. He was voted "the Greatest DJ of All Time" by '' Mix'' magazine in a 2010/2011 poll amongst fans. In 2013, he was voted by ''DJ Mag'' readers as the "best DJ of the last 20 years". He is also regarded as the "Godfather of EDM" by many sources. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings.
