Hungary In The Eurovision Song Contest 2009
Hungary participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. The Hungarian broadcaster, Magyar Televízió (MTV), confirmed their participation in November 2008. Before Eurovision Internal selection Artists and composers were able to submit their applications and entries for the competition between 14 January 2009 and 2 February 2009. Artists were permitted to collaborate with international composers and submit songs in any language. After the submission deadline had passed, 105 entries were received by the broadcaster. On 3 February 2009, MTV announced during a press conference that the song "If You Wanna Party", written by Figge Boström, George Németh, Johan Lindman, Lasse Anderson, Zé Szabó and performed by Márk Zentai would be the Hungarian entry for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. Zoli Ádok, pseudonym of Zoltán Ádok (born Szeged, Hungary, 22 March 1976) is a Hungarian pop/musical singer, actor and dancer who represented his nation at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "'' Dance With Me''". Biography Early life Zoli Ádok was born on 22 March 1976 in Szeged, Hungary. He is the second child in his family. He has one sister. Magyar Televízió (''Hungarian Television'') or MTV is a nationwide public television broadcasting organization in Hungary. George Nemeth
George Nemeth (April 10, 1933 – October 2, 2009) was a Hungarian Canadian psychologist, avant-garde trend poet, and writer. Biography Nemeth was born in 1933, and grew up under Mátyás Rákosi's socialist regime. After the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, Nemeth fled Hungary, and settled in Canada. In 1957, Nemeth got his PhD in psychology from McGill University and taught psychology at Concordia University. Nemeth began his poetic career in the 1960s. In 1981, he co-founded the Arkánum Magazine, which he also co-edited with Sándor András, Jószef Bakucz, and László Kemenes Géfin. Hungary has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 17 times since making its debut in . Hungary attempted to participate in but failed to qualify from ''Kvalifikacija za Millstreet'', a special qualifying competition set up for seven former Eastern Bloc countries. Hungary's first contest in 1994 remains its most successful, with Friderika Bayer finishing in fourth place. The country's only other top five result is András Kállay-Saunders' fifth-place in . ''Big Brother'' or ''Big Brother Sverige'' was the Swedish version of the reality television franchise '' Big Brother'' created by producer John de Mol in 1999.
