The Hum Honorary Most Challenging Subject Award is given by the Board of Directors of the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC) to the Hum Television Network most challenging and most important subjective based work. The recipients of this award are usually director's, producer's and writers of most promising work of Hum TV. This is one of the Special Award given by the Channel directors to the work of exceptional achievements. All the categorized and organized special award is awarded annually during the ceremony. Hum TV is a 24-hour Urdu General Entertainment TV channel based in Karachi, Pakistan. It was founded by Sultana Siddiqui and Duraid Qureshi. It is owned by Hum Network Limited and traded on Pakistan Stock Exchange as (HUMNL). Hum Network Limited was known as ''Eye Television Network Limited'' prior to 21 January 2011. Hum TV began its transmission on 17 January 2005. In March 2013, Hum Network held its first Hum Awards ceremony. 1st Hum Awards
The 1st Servis Hum Awards Ceremony (referred to as Hum Awards), presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC), sponsored by Servis, Telenor and co-sponsored by Nokia Lumia, honour the best dramas of 2012 of Hum (its own channel) and to honour Fashion and Music. The ceremony took place on March 12, 2013, at the Expo Center in Karachi beginning at PM/IST 8:00 p.m. and was televised on 28 April 2013. During the ceremony, the Hum Channel presented Awards in 24 regular categories along with in 3 honorary and in 2 special categories. The ceremony was televised in Pakistan by Hum TV. Hosts Mikaal Zulfiqar, Mahira Khan and co-host Vasay Chaudhry became the first ever hosts of the ceremony. Razia Butt
Razia Butt ( ur, ) was an Urdu novelist and playwright from Pakistan. One of the famous popular fiction writer of the 1960s and 1970s, she is often compared with English writer Barbara Cartland due to her popularity among the household readers. Some of her works have been adapted into television serials and films, including '' Bano''. Background Razia Niaz was born in Wazirabad on 19 May 1924. She spent most of her childhood in Peshawar. Career She first appeared in a literary journal around 1940 when she was in her teens. She later developed her first published story into a novel, ''Naila''. Butt also wrote radio plays. Haissam Hussain
Haissam Hussain is a Pakistani television and film director known for directed a number of critically acclaimed television serials such as ''Noorpur Ki Rani'' (2009), ''Akbari Asghari'' (2011), ''Durr-e-Shehwar'' (2012) and ''Aunn Zara'' (2013). ''Dastaan'' ( ur, , lit=The tale) is a Pakistani TV series based on the novel '' Bano'', by Razia Butt. Broadcast on Hum TV in 2010, it was dramatized by Samira Fazal. Based on the partition of the Indian Subcontinent and the resulting independence of Pakistan, the story takes place takes place between 1947 and 1956. The drama depicts the story of Bano, a girl from a close knit Muslim family living in Ludhiana (located in undivided Punjab) in the pre-1947 era. The story is about the trials and tribulations Bano faces after she decides to dedicate her life to the All-India Muslim League. ''Dastaan'' is the first project of its kind taken up by the Pakistani media. Director Haissam Hussain stated in an interview that production for the drama began months in advance, and that the filming itself only took a little over two months. Dawn News
Dawn News is one of Pakistan's 24-hour Urdu news channel. Based in Karachi, the station is a subsidiary of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan's largest English-language media group. The test transmission of the station occurred on 25 May 2007, and the channel went live on 23 July 2007. Originally broadcast in English, on 15 May 2010, Dawn News converted into an Urdu news channel after successful test transmission of four hours a day.
