Hum Award For Best Actor
The Hum Award for Best Actor is an award presented annually by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC). It is given in honor of an actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role while working within the Television industry. The 1st Hum Awards (for 2012) was held in 2013 with Noman Ejaz winning the award, who was honored for his role in ''Bari Aapa''. The award has commonly been referred to as the hum for Best Actor Jury or Best Drama Actor Jury. Currently, nominees are determined by single transferable vote, within the actors and jury branch of HTNEC; winners are selected by a plurality vote from the entire eligible voting members of the Hum. This awards is equivalent to the Hum Award for Best Actor Popular, which is given in the ceremony but winners are solely selected by viewers votings. Hum Awards are annual Pakistani accolades bestowed by the Hum Network Limited in recognition of excellence in programming of television, fashion and music industry of Pakistan. Winners are awarded the Hum Award of Merit. The awards were first presented in 2013 at a ceremony held at the Karachi Expo Centre. The awards are now reputed as an official ceremony of Hum TV, and has been given in more than a dozen categories. Mausam (TV Series)
''Mausam'' (, lit: Weather) is a Pakistan television drama serial aired on Hum TV in 2014. Produced by Momina Duraid and written by Aliya Bukhari, it is based on the theme of love and jealousy. It stars Ahsan Khan, Hareem Farooq and Yumna Zaidi. Synopsis Drama shows the relationship between two cousins (Shazia and Saman) who belong to a middle-class family. They live in the same home and get well on with each other . Things take a turn for the worse when they come across the affluent bachelor Hashir. Shazia Yumna is more ambitious and materialistic keen on marrying Hashir but he falls in love with Saman because of her docile and modest nature. Syed Imran Abbas Naqvi (born 15 October 1982), professionally known by his stage name Imran Abbas, is a Pakistani actor and model who works predominantly in Urdu television. 2nd Hum Awards
The 2nd Hum Awards ceremony, presented by the Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel (HTNEC), sponsored by Servis and Telenor Talkshawlk, honored the best in fashion, music and Hum Television Dramas of 2013. The ceremony took place on 29 March 2014 at Expo Center in Karachi, Sindh beginning at 7:30 PST. The ceremony was recorded and was broadcast on 25 May 2014. During the ceremony, Hum Television Network and Entertainment Channel presented awards in 29 regular categories along with 2 in honorary and 1 in special category. The ceremony was televised in Pakistan by Hum TV, while Servis returned as a main sponsor of the show. Television personalities Meekal Zulfiqar and Sanam Saeed hosted the show along with Sanam Jung and Vasay Chaudhry.
