Hugo Rafael Soto
Hugo Rafael Soto (born 16 August 1967 in San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, Argentina) is a former professional boxer. Professional career Fighting in the flyweight and super flyweight divisions, Soto had his first professional fight in 1988. He built up a record of 39-1-2 to earn a fight with WBC flyweight champion Yuri Arbachakov, but lost by an eighth round knockout. Two years later, he lost a unanimous decision to reigning WBO flyweight champion Johnny Tapia. He captured the WBA flyweight title in May 1998, defeating Jose Bonilla by a split decision. Soto lost the title in his first defence against Leo Gámez, who knocked him out in the third round. He had his final fight in 2004, losing a decision to future world champion Jorge Linares, and retired with a final record of 55-10-2. Jorge Linares
Jorge Luis Linares Palencia (born 22 August 1985) is a Venezuelan professional boxer. He has held world championships in three weight classes, including the WBC featherweight title from 2007 to 2008; the WBA super featherweight title from 2008 to 2009; and the WBA, WBC and '' Ring'' magazine lightweight titles between 2014 and 2018. As of September, 2021, he is ranked as the world's sixth best lightweight according to '' The Ring'' and tenth best according to ''BoxRec''. Carlos Gabriel Salazar (born 5 September 1964) is an Argentine former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 1998. He is a world champion in two weight classes, having held the IBF super flyweight title from 1995 to 1996, and the WBO flyweight title from 1996 and 1998. Professional career As a professional he had 58 fights (47–3–8), from 1985 to 1998. He campaigned at the flyweight and super flyweight divisions, winning world titles in both. After 3 unsuccessful attempts at the world title, Salazar became the IBF World super flyweight champion when he beat Harold Grey in 1995. He would defend the title once before losing it to the same Harold Grey. After that he decided to move down to flyweight and campaign for the WBO World title, winning it against Alberto Jiménez. Santos Benigno Laciar (born January 31, 1959), known familiarly as Santos Laciar and nicknamed Falucho, is an Argentine who was boxing's world flyweight and super flyweight champion. Biography Laciar was born in Huinca Renancó, in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. Laciar began his career in his hometown, on December 3 of 1976, knocking out Carlos Maliene in four rounds. After three more wins, all by knockout, he was faced with Alejandro Holguin, who held him to a ten-round draw, becoming the first boxer to face Laciar and not come out on the losing end. After three more wins, he drew once again, this time against Jose Ibiris, but in his next fight, he was able to take the Córdoba State Flyweight title away from Carlos Reyes Sosa in Villa María with a 12-round decision.
