Hughes Reef
Hughes Reef (Mandarin Chinese, Mandarin , vi, đá Tư Nghĩa) is a reef in Union Banks in the Spratly Islands, Spratly group of islands, South China Sea claimed by the China, PRC (China), the Taiwan, ROC (Taiwan), the Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam. It is only above water at low tide. The People's Republic of China, PRC has land reclamation, reclaimed land on the reef, bringing its area to 7.6 hectares, and occupied the reef. The reef has a lighthouse on top of a two storied defence outpost. CIWS
A close-in weapon system (CIWS ) is a point-defense weapon system for detecting and destroying short-range incoming missiles and enemy aircraft which have penetrated the outer defenses, typically mounted on a naval ship. Nearly all classes of larger modern warships are equipped with some kind of CIWS device. There are two types of CIWS systems.
