Hugh Burrill
Hugh W. Burrill is a Canadian radio sports anchor. Hugh was born in Pembroke, Ontario and raised in Chalk River, Ontario. Career Burrill began his career working for numerous radio stations for a few years. His first television gig was at Citytv Toronto, working as a writer for ''Breakfast Television''. He was soon named the news producer and then he became an on-air personality as sports specialist for ''Breakfast Television'' and City''News at Noon. He was then moved to City''News at Six'' and City''News Tonight'' Weekend Editions. In 2007, Citytv's former parent, CHUM Limited was acquired by CTVglobemedia. At the same time, Burrill was hired by Rogers Media when the company acquired the Citytv stations including Toronto. City News Channel
CityNews Channel was a Canadian English language Category B specialty digital cable television channel from 2011 to 2013. It was owned by the Rogers Media division of Rogers Communications, and primarily focused on the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The channel was only available in Ontario and broadcast a single feed in high definition which was also accessible through standard definition televisions. CJCL (590 AM, ''Sportsnet 590 The Fan'') is a Canadian sports radio station in Toronto, Ontario. Owned and operated by Rogers Sports & Media since 2002, CJCL's studios are located at the Rogers Building at Bloor and Jarvis in downtown Toronto, while its transmitters are located near Grimsby atop the Niagara Escarpment. Kathryn Humphreys (born 19 September 1970) is a Canadian former sports anchor for City''News'' ''at Five'', City''News'''' at Six'' and City''News'' ''Tonight''. She was previously with City''News Weekend'' which she joined in March 1997. Born in Oshawa, Ontario, Humphreys worked as an intern at 680 News in the sports department in Toronto and WBZ-TV in Boston.
