Huaihua University () is a university located in Huaihua, Hunan, China. As of fall 2019, the university has 2 campuses, a combined student body of 18,057 students, 867 faculty members. Xi Nanhua (; born March 1963) is a Chinese mathematician currently serving as President of the Institute of Mathematics and Systems Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dean of the College of Mathematics, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Biography Xi was born in Yingde, Guangdong in March 1963, while his ancestral home is in Qidong County, Hunan. After the resumption of college entrance examination, he graduated from Huaihua University. Wang Yuewen (; born 1962) is a contemporary Chinese writer known for his popular novels in the anti-corruption genre. His 1999 novel, ''National Portrait'' (國畫), about municipal-level corruption in China became a sensation, spawning a craze in the genre.
