House Shoes
Michael Buchanan, better known as House Shoes, is an American Detroit-born hip hop producer and DJ, who lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He served as a producer on albums by Phat Kat, Proof, Elzhi, Pumpkinhead, Marv Won, J Dilla, Danny Brown, and Quelle Chris among others. He is a three-time Detroit Music Awards winner for Outstanding Hip-Hop DJ (from 2005 to 2007). Career Buchanan grew up in Lathrup Village. He went to Southfield-Lathrup High School and Eastern Michigan University. He was a resident deejay at the hip hop staple St. Andrews Hall from 1994–2004. He worked at a number of record stores, including Melodies & Memories, Street Corner Music and later also worked as a manager for Fat Beats. A jay is a member of a number of species of medium-sized, usually colorful and noisy, passerine birds in the Crow family, Corvidae. It featured guest appearances by the likes of Black Milk, Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, Danny Brown, Fatt Father & Marv Won of the Fat Killahz, Gangrene, Guilty Simpson & Hex Murda of Almighty Dreadnaughtz, Roc Marciano, and more. Andrew Mayer Cohen (born February 2, 1979), better known by his stage name Mayer Hawthorne, is an American singer, producer, songwriter, arranger, audio engineer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California. Byron Dwayne “Guilty” Simpson is an American rapper and songwriter from Detroit, Michigan whose recording career spans more than 20 years. He is signed to Stones Throw Records, and is known for being one of the late producer J Dilla’s favorite rappers. Anthony Davis (born September 6, 1970), better known by his stage name Ant, is an American hip hop producer. He is best known as being one half of the hip hop group Atmosphere, but has worked with many other artists and projects, mostly with Rhymesayers Entertainment, such as Brother Ali, I Self Devine, Felt and The Dynospectrum. He has also released two solo albums, Melodies and Memories, and Melodies and Memories 85–89. Biography Ant started to become interested in DJing at a very young age.
