Hosur Municipal Corporation is the civic body governing city of Hosur in Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was the 13th Municipal corporation in Tamilnadu established on 13th february 2019.It is headed by a Mayor, who presides over 45 councillors represents over 45 wards of the city, and it has adjoined with Mathigiri town panchayat, Zuzuvadi, Avalapalli and Mookandapalli village panchayat. Hosur municipal corporation is one of the major industrial city in Tamilnadu and had a population of 245,354 with an area of 72.41 km². History and administration Hosur Municipal Corporation in Krishnagiri district was formed in year 2019 and is one of 21 municipal corporations in Tamil Nadu. Krishnagiri District
Krishnagiri district is one of the 38 districts (a district in the north western part) of the state of Tamil Nadu, in India. This district is carved out from Dharmapuri District by 2004. The municipal town of Krishnagiri is the district headquarters. In Tamil Nadu, ''e-Governance'' was first introduced at Krishnagiri district under the National e-Governance Project (NEGP) in revenue and social welfare departments on a pilot basis.
