Max Hopp (born 20 August 1996) is a German professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Hopp reached the final of the 2011 WDF World Cup boys' singles, and won the boys' singles event at the 2012 WDF Europe Youth Cup. He also reached the last 16 of the 2012 Dutch Darts Masters, defeating Terry Jenkins and Steve Beaton before losing to Paul Nicholson. Hopp qualified for the 2013 PDC World Darts Championship by winning the Central European Qualifier in Bielefeld and in doing so became the second-youngest player ever to compete at the championships after Mitchell Clegg. Hopp played Charl Pietersen of South Africa in the preliminary round winning by 4 legs to 1 to set up a first round match against Denis Ovens. John Leonard Hopp (July 18, 1916 – June 1, 2003) was an American professional baseball player and coach. Born in Hastings, Nebraska, he was an outfielder and first baseman who appeared in 1,393 Major League Baseball games over 14 seasons (1939–52) for the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers. Hanns Hopp (9 February 1890 – 21 February 1971) was a German architect. Hopp was born in Lübeck and studied at the University of Karlsruhe and the Technical University of Munich. From 1918 he was employed as an architect for the local authorities in Königsberg (now Kaliningrad), and from 1920 for the Deutsche Ostmesse, or Eastern Fair. From 1926 he worked as a private architect in Königsberg. In 1944 Hopp left Königsberg and settled in Dresden, continuing his professional career in East Germany (the German Democratic Republic). Between 1952 and 1966 he was President of the Deutsche Bauakademie, the national academy of architecture and construction. He died in 1971 in East Berlin. Odd E. Hopp (born 15 August 1913 – 21 July 2001) was a Norwegian Scout leader, orienteer and sports official. Early and personal life Hopp was the son of Georg B. Hopp and Klara Gustave Ruud, and was married to Eva Marit Eimstad. He graduated from Oslo Handelsgymnasium in 1931, and was appointed at Norges Varemesse from 1931, Silkehuset from 1932, Oslo Lysverker from 1934, and Holger Fangel & Co from 1941. Karl-Heinz Hopp (20 November 1936 – 11 February 2007) was a German rower who competed for the United Team of Germany in the 1960 Summer Olympics. Hopp was born in Allenstein, which is today called Olsztyn situated in Poland. At the 1958 European Rowing Championships in Poznań, he won a gold medal with the coxless four. Cecilia "Ceci" St. Geme (née Hopp, born c. 1963) is an American track and field athlete, specializing in middle to long distance running events. She holds the North American continental and American junior records in the 3000 meters, set June 27, 1982 in Durham, North Carolina. She was the 1994 National Champion at 5000 meters. An avid tennis player and ballerina, she took up running in 1979 while at Greenwich High School. She quickly emerged, winning the state championship at 800 meters her first year out. Doris Hopp (16 July 1930 – 31 October 1998) was a Swedish brothel madam who organized a network of call girls in Stockholm, Sweden, in the early 1970s. She was arrested on pimping charges in 1976. A police investigation soon revealed that many of Hopp's customers were well-known politicians and other dignitaries. In November 1977, the newspaper ''Dagens Nyheter'' published allegations citing Justice Minister Lennart Geijer as one of Doris Hopp's customers.
