is a Pop music, pop duo from Japan consisting of Yuuka Nanri (vocals) and composer Yuki Kajiura (composition, lyrics and keyboards). It is part of Kajiura's solo project FictionJunction. Biography The pair first met at , a Stage (theatre), stage group for teenage girls where Kajiura wrote music for some of the plays and Nanri was a performer. Their first recording was , an insert song in the popular mecha anime ''Mobile Suit Gundam SEED'', though their debut single was the opening of Madlax, , released on May 8, 2004. Originally, this song was released on "Suit CD vol.4 Miguel Ayman x Nicol Amarfi", an EP from Gundam SEED, under the name "FictionJunction featuring Yuuka". Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny
is an anime television series, a direct sequel to ''Mobile Suit Gundam SEED'' by Sunrise and the overall tenth installment in the ''Gundam'' franchise. It retains most of the staff from ''Gundam SEED'', including Director Mitsuo Fukuda. Set two years after the original ''Mobile Suit Gundam SEED'', the plot follows the new character Shinn Asuka, a soldier from the Zodiac Alliance of Freedom Treaty, or ZAFT, composed of humans born genetically enhanced labelled as Coordinators. FictionJunction Yuuka Songs
FictionJunction is a singing group that solely performs songs written by Japanese composer Yuki Kajiura. The term "FictionJunction" alone refers to this group; solo works between Kajiura and a vocalist are referenced by adding the singer's name after "FictionJunction". Although both perform under the FJ title and are collaborations with Kajiura, they are separate projects. Background Yuki Kajiura had been working on various soundtracks, including one for ''Mobile Suit Gundam SEED''. In 2003, she released the solo album, ''Fiction''. In 2004, she hired vocalist Yuuka Nanri to sing on some of her tracks, including "" which became a hit.
