Hong Kong Touring Car Championship
The Hong Kong Touring Car Championship () was established by the Hong Kong Automobile Association in 2002. Currently, all the races are held at the Zhuhai International Circuit in Guangdong province, China, at the Guangdong International Circuit in the same province or during the Macau Grand Prix near Hong Kong . The Championships The Super Production Class and N2000 Class Championships each consists of 8 races at Zhuhai. For the Super Production Class, each race is 12 laps of while N2000 races are 10 laps only. Points are awarded to the top 8 finishers in Super Production Class: 10–8–6–5–4–3–2–1. Points are awarded to the top 15 finishers in N2000 Class: 40–35–32–30–28–26–25–24–23–22–21–20–19–18–17. Zhuhai International Circuit
Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC) (simplified Chinese: 珠海国际赛车场; traditional Chinese: ) is located at Jin Ding town in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China. Motorsport started in Zhuhai when it hosted a race on its street circuit in 1993. Racing continued there until 1996 when the motor racing circuit was constructed and became China's first permanent motor race track with Formula One in mind. The circuit was designed by Australian company Kinhill Engineers Pty Ltd, the same group which created the Formula One circuit in Adelaide. The project manager for the project was Michael McDonough. The first international race held at the circuit was the BPR Global GT Series. Guangdong International Circuit
Guangdong International Circuit is a motor sport facility located at Da Wang, Sihui, in Zhaoqing city in China, approx 45 mins by car from Guangzhou. Designed by a female Chinese designer Qiming Yao, it is the second permanent motor sport facility in Guangdong, China, after Zhuhai International Circuit. The Guangdong International Circuit completed in 2009. Grading The circuit holds an International FIA Grade "III" license and can hold Formula Three, F3, A1GP and World Touring Car Championship, WTCC races. Macau Grand Prix
The Macau Grand Prix ( pt, Grande Prémio de Macau; ) is a motorsport road race for automobiles and motorcycles held annually in Macau. It is the only street circuit racing event in which both cars and motorcycles participate, and one of only two current national Grand Prix events that are not part of the Formula One World Championship, the other being the New Zealand Grand Prix. The first Macau Grand Prix event was held in 1954, as a sports car event. In 1961, the title race became an open-wheel Formula Libre event. The event has also had a variety of support races in its duration. Production cars joined the event in 1957, which were superseded by touring cars in 1972. The WTCR Race of Macau, previously Guia Race of Macau and WTCC Guia Race of Macau, is an international touring car race, and currently a round of the World Touring Car Cup. It is held on the temporary 6.2 km Guia Circuit on the streets of Macau, the Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China as part of the Macau Grand Prix weekend. Before 2005 when the World Touring Car Championship began, the Guia race had been run annually as a one-off international touring car race. Tak Chun "Paul" Poon (traditional Chinese: 潘德俊) is a racing driver from Hong Kong, China. He is the current Hong Kong Touring Car Championship champion. He drives a Honda Civic EP3 for ''China Dragon Racing''. Career Paul Poon is also the winner of the two previous editions of the ''CTM Cup'' (also known as Macau Cup) in 2006 and 2007, a race organized for the leading Asian touring car drivers. In 2003, Paul Poon entered the international Macau Guia race for Super Production cars, using a car built by Mardi Gras Motorsport in the United Kingdom, as the Hong Kong Touring Car Championship winner. Henry Lee Man-Kee Junior (; born 18 March 1958) is a Hong Kong celebrity and a racing driver. Early life Lee is the son of Henry Lee Hok-Ping who was a motorcycle racer and worked for Sime Darby.
