''Home, Vol. 5'' is a split album released by Post-Parlo Records, the fifth volume in the ''Home'' series of short split albums featuring two artists. Andrew Kenny (singer)
Andrew Kenny is the main singer/songwriter of The Wooden Birds, which released their debut LP ''Magnolia'' in May 2009. Their second album, ''Two Matchsticks'', was released June 2011. He was the frontman for the American indie/lo-fi band The American Analog Set. In 2003, he released a split EP in the Home Series (Vol. V) with Benjamin Gibbard. In 2005, he contributed towards Broken Social Scene's 2005 self-titled album. Andrew Kenny toured briefly with Broken Social Scene in 2007 and with Ola Podrida in 2008 before moving back home to Austin to work on his own recordings. In 2008, Kenny wrote and performed the entire score for the short film ''Pickup and Return'', which was written and directed by award-winning writer/director Alex R. Johnson. In 2014, Kenny scored another Johnson film, Two Step, which premiered that year at the SXSW Film Festival. Benjamin Gibbard

Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Split Album
A split album (or split) is a music album that includes tracks by two or more separate artists. There are also singles and EPs of the same variety, which are often called "split singles" and "split EPs" respectively. Split albums differ from "various artists" compilation albums in that they generally include several tracks of each artist, or few artists with one or two tracks each, instead of multiple artists with only one or two tracks each. Death Cab For Cutie
Death Cab for Cutie is an American rock band formed in Bellingham, Washington, in 1997. The band is currently composed of Ben Gibbard (vocals, guitar, piano), Nick Harmer (bass), Dave Depper (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Zac Rae (keyboards, guitar), and Jason McGerr (drums). The band was originally a solo project by Gibbard, who expanded the project into a complete group upon getting a record deal. They released their debut album, ''Something About Airplanes'', in 1998. The Postal Service
The Postal Service are an American indie pop supergroup from Seattle, Washington, consisting of singer Ben Gibbard, producer Jimmy Tamborello, and Jenny Lewis on background vocals. The band released their only album, '' Give Up'', in 2003 on Sub Pop Records, to mostly positive reviews. The album reached number 114 on the US '' Billboard'' 200 album chart and received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. The Postal Service remained largely inactive from 2005 until 2013 when they reunited for a tour and released a re-issue of ''Give Up'' to celebrate its tenth anniversary. The American Analog Set
The American Analog Set (sometimes referred to as AmAnSet) was an Austin-based indie rock, lo-fi band. They have released six studio albums, on the record labels Emperor Jones and Tiger Style Records, with their latest ('' Set Free'') on Arts & Crafts. History Formed in 1995, the group's early sound was highly-influenced by krautrock and post-rock and British shoegazer bands like Cocteau Twins, often featuring long instrumental passages. Over time, their songs became shorter and more pop-influenced. The band has released six full-length albums, four EPs, and several vinyl singles. The Wooden Birds
The Wooden Birds was a band from Austin, Texas (with members also in Brooklyn, NY), led by American Analog Set frontman, Andrew Kenny, formed in 2008. The band's final lineup, which Andrew Kenny introduced on stage as the "Hometown Fantasy Band", was Leslie Sisson ( Western Keys, American Analog Set guest artist, Matt Pond PA) on lead guitar/vocals, and Sean Haskins on drums. Their debut full-length album ''Magnolia'' was released on Barsuk Records (United States/Canada) and Morr Music (Europe) in 2009. ''Magnolia'' received attention from such publications as Pitchfork Media, ''Spin'', and ''The Washington Post'', with the track "Sugar" earning NPR's "Song of the Day."
