Home Missions School
The Home Missions School is a co-educational, private school located in Aizawl, Mizoram, India. It was established in 1985 by founder and principal, Lalthlamuana Hnamte. The school caters to pupils from kindergarten up to class 12 with English used as the medium of teaching. The school is affiliated to the Mizoram Board of School Education, Mizoram. History When the school was established in 1985, it had only preparatory classes. In the year 2000, it has been upgraded to Secondary level prior to the permission granted by the State Government Education Department. Curriculum The school teaches a curriculum proposed by the Mizoram Board of School Education. The secondary section teaches two streams, Arts and Science. Music classes are conducted for grades 8, 9 and 11 while Fine Arts classes are conducted for grades 7 and below. Aizawl
Aizawl (; Mizo: ) is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. Aizawl was officially established on 25 February 1890. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the centre of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat. The population of Aizawl strongly reflects the different communities of the ethnic Mizo people. History In 1871–72, the disorderly conduct of Khalkom, a Mizo chief, compelled the British to establish an outpost that later became the Aizawl village. Mizoram
Mizoram () is a state in Northeast India, with Aizawl as its seat of government and capital city. The name of the state is derived from "Mizo people, Mizo", the endonym, self-described name of the native inhabitants, and "Ram", which in the Mizo language means "land." Thus "Mizo-ram" means "land of the Mizos". Within India's northeast region, it is the southernmost landlocked state, sharing borders with three of the Seven Sister States, namely Tripura, Assam and Manipur. Mizoram Board Of School Education
The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) is an autonomous governmental body for academic administration in Mizoram, India, having its jurisdiction from elementary to higher secondary education. It was established by the Government of Mizoram (then the Union Territory of India) in 1975 by the Mizoram Board of School Education Act. It has the power to regulate, supervise and control school education in Mizoram. Its primary function is to prepare academic programmes and organise examinations, especially for state level High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC). National Cadet Corps (India)
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in developing the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.
