Hombres G
Hombres G is a Spanish pop rock band, formed in Madrid in 1983. They are widely considered one of Spain's most prominent pop groups of the 1980s and early 1990s. The band consists of David Summers (bass, vocals), Rafael Gutierrez (guitar), Dani Mezquita (guitar), and Javi Molina (drums). Hombres G made their live debut at Madrid's Rock-Ola in 1983. Their sound was influenced by the early Beatles and the British new wave movement. They found commercial success with the release of ''Hombres G'' (1985) and the song " Devuélveme a mi chica". The youthful and adolescent nature of their music attracted a large audience, both at home and abroad — thousands covered the Gran Vía Madrileña during the release of their two films and Lima's Jorge Chávez International Airport was nearly closed due to the 20,000 fans that congregated on the landing runway during their first visit to Perú. The group's sound began to expand and show more adult concerns with the albums ''Voy a pasárm ...

Hombres G (album)
''Hombres G'' is the debut album released by the eponymous Spanish rock band in 1985. History Hombres G's original label, Lollipop, was unable to further support the band in early 1984. At that time, Ricardo Chirinos, lead singer of Pistones, told Paco Martín that Hombres G would be present at Radio España for an interview regarding one of their concerts at Rock-Ola. Paco had just established a new label, Twins, and signed a contract with the band after attending one of their concerts. Hombres G began recording their new album two weeks later at Estudios Trak. The band recorded "Venezia", a new version of the previous single, and the soon-to-be hit, " Devuélveme a mi chica". Among the album's ballads was a cover of Alice Cooper's " I Never Cry", which they named "No lloraré". They also adapted Vladimir Cosma's song "Reality" from the motion picture, ''La Boum ''La Boum'' (English title: ''The Party'' or ''Ready for Love'') is a 1980 French teen romantic comedy film direc ...

Milagro En El Congo / Venezia
"Milagro en el Congo / Venezia" is a single by the Spanish pop rock band Hombres G. It is one of their very first singles, released through the label, Lollipop, in 1983. The music on the single has been described as spontaneous and as being particularly influenced by the punk genre. This was one of only two singles Hombres G released through Lollipop. The song "Venezia" was re-recorded and an updated version included on their debut album, ''Hombres G''. G Men
''G Men'' is a 1935 Warner Bros. crime film starring James Cagney, Ann Dvorak, Margaret Lindsay and Lloyd Nolan in his film debut. According to ''Variety,'' the movie was one of the top-grossing films of 1935. The supporting cast features Robert Armstrong and Barton MacLane. ''G Men'' was made as part of a deliberate attempt by the Warners to counteract what many political and business leaders claimed was a disturbing trend of glorifying criminals in the early 1930s gangster film genre. Although the gangster films were typically presented as moral indictments of organized crime where the criminal protagonist inevitably died, they nevertheless depicted a life of freedom, power and luxury enjoyed by gangsters in the midst of a real-life economic crisis. Foremost of these films were '' Little Caesar'', the original '' Scarface'', and perhaps the most memorable, ''The Public Enemy'', in which Cagney portrayed street tough Tom Powers, the role that catapulted him to stardom. What ...

Benny Goodman
Benjamin David Goodman (May 30, 1909 – June 13, 1986) was an American clarinetist and bandleader known as the "King of Swing". From 1936 until the mid-1940s, Goodman led one of the most popular swing big bands in the United States. His concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City on January 16, 1938, is described by critic Bruce Eder as "the single most important jazz or popular music concert in history: jazz's 'coming out' party to the world of 'respectable' music." Goodman's bands started the careers of many jazz musicians. During an era of racial segregation, he led one of the first integrated jazz groups, his quartet and quintet. He performed nearly to the end of his life while exploring an interest in classical music. Early years Goodman was the ninth of twelve children born to poor Jewish emigrants from the Russian Empire. His father, David Goodman (1873–1926), came to the United States in 1892 from Warsaw in partitioned Poland and became a tailor. His mother, ...
