Felix Holzmann
Felix Holzmann (born 8 July 1921 – 13 September 2002) was a popular Czech comedian and screenwriter known for his unique wordplay humor, way of speech, and look. Personal life Holzmann came from a Bohemian German family originally from Teplice, which soon moved to Litoměřice. As a German citizen of the Sudetenland during the Second World War, he served in Wehrmacht, at the naval artillery in Denmark. At the end of the war, he was taken prisoner by the Soviets and spent one year in the gulag. He never talked about his war experience and they were revealed not until his death. He graduated from a business school in Aussig, but later he became a professional comedian, perfectly fluent both in Czech and in German. Holzmann was married twice, first to Eva Vorlíčková, a war widow, whose daughter Eva he adopted. Johannes Holzmann (30 October 1882 – 28 April 1914) was a German anarchist writer and activist who generally went by the pseudonym Senna Hoy. Early life and Berlin Holzmann, born on 30 October 1882 in Tuchel, Prussia (now Tuchola, Poland), hailed from a bourgeois Jewish family. Moving to Berlin, he became a teacher of religion at first. Like many intellectuals around the turn of the century, he felt oppressed by the restrictive morals then reigning German society. He quit teaching in 1902 and founded the League for Human Rights (''Bund für Menschenrecht'', in German) in 1903. He decided to devote himself entirely to writing and political activism from an anarchist standpoint. In 1904, he published a booklet entitled "Das dritte Geschlecht" ("The Third Gender"). Thomas Holzmann (born July 17, 1987) is a German professional ice hockey forward who currently plays for EV Landshut of the DEL2. Playing career Holzmann began his career as a junior in the ESV Kaufbueren organization. He made his DEL debut with the Hannover Scorpions before joining and breaking out with 26 points in 50 games with the Kassel Huskies in the 2009–10 season. Following the dissolution of the Huskies, Holzmann then signed a two-year contract with the Hamburg Freezers on May 22, 2010.
