Holy Trinity Catholic High School (Ottawa)
Holy Trinity Catholic High School is a secondary school located in the Kanata district of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It serves students from grades 7 through 12. It is the first of its architectural design by Edward J. Cuhaci in Ottawa, opened in 1990. It was followed by five identical schools in the Ottawa-Carleton Catholic School Board. History The school was initially constructed to relieve overcrowding at St. Paul's located a few kilometres to the east. Because of a construction strike, the school was not ready to open on time, and students had to share the building at St. Paul's for the first two months. Students from Holy Trinity attended classes in the morning, starting an hour earlier than usual and going until noon. Students that would have been attending St. Paul's attended classes in the afternoon. Katimavik Road (Ottawa)
Katimavik ( iu, ᑲᑎᒪᕕᒃ "meeting place") is a registered charity that engages Canadian youth through volunteer work. Katimavik provides opportunities for young Canadians to participate in five to six-month periods of community service throughout the country via the National Experience program. It was founded in 1977 by the late Senator Jacques Hébert and the Honourable Barney Danson, a former Minister of National Defence. Currently, Katimavik is led by John-Frederick Cameron, an experienced executive in the Canadian non-profit sector. Overview The Katimavik National Experience consists of groups of 11 youths, aged 17 to 25, who come from across Canada. All Saints Catholic High School, opened September 2002, is a secondary school in the Kanata district of Ottawa, Ontario. The school is located in the Kanata North area of Kanata Lakes and serves the communities of Kanata and West Carleton. The school motto is ''Dei Gratia'', Latin for 'The Grace of God'. In 2005, All Saints students chose "Eddie the Yeti" as the school mascot. History The school opened on September 3, 2002.
