Holly Pearson (born 7 September 1998) is a field hockey player from New Zealand, who plays as a forward. Career National teams Under–21 Holly Pearson debuted for the New Zealand U–21 team in 2018 during a test series against Australia in Hastings, New Zealand. During the series she finished as highest scorer. She followed this up with an appearance during a Tri-Nations Tournament in Canberra, Australia in 2019, competing against Australia and India. Black Sticks Pearson made her debut for the Black Sticks in 2019 during Season One of the FIH Pro League. Taranaki is a region in the west of New Zealand's North Island. It is named after its main geographical feature, the stratovolcano of Mount Taranaki, also known as Mount Egmont. Field hockey at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo took place from 24 July to 6 August 2021 at the Oi Seaside Park. Twenty-four teams (twelve each for men and women) competed in the tournament. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2020, but on 24 March 2020, the Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rockhampton is a city in the Rockhampton Region of Central Queensland, Australia. The Women's FIH Pro League is an international women's field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH), which replaces the Women's FIH Hockey World League. The 2019 Women's FIH Pro League was the first season of the Pro League, the premier women's field hockey national team league series.
