Hobo (band)
Hobo was a Yugoslav progressive rock band formed in Zagreb in 1972. Formed and led by keyboardist Mato Došen, Hobo was a prominent act of the 1970s Yugoslav rock scene. Band history 1972-1977 Hobo was formed in 1972 by keyboardist Mato Došen, a former member of the band Heart of Soul. The band's lineup featured, beside Došen, Saša Cavrić (bass guitar), Josip Belamarić (electric violin), Boris Trubić (percussion, vocals) and Mladen Garašić (drums). In 1974 the band performed on the third edition of BOOM Festival, held in Tivoli Hall in Ljubljana, the recording of their song "Možda jednom" ("Maybe Once") appearing on the double live album ''Boom Pop Festival Ljubljana '74''. In 1975 the band released their debut, self-titled album. Bijelo Dugme (trans. ''White Button'') was a Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslav rock music, rock band, formed in Sarajevo, Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1974. Arsenije "Arsen" Dedić ( sr-Cyrl, Арсеније "Арсен" Дедић, ; 28 July 1938 – 17 August 2015) was a Croatian singer-songwriter. He wrote and performed chansons, as well as film music. He was also an award-winning poet, and was one of the best-selling poets of former Yugoslavia and Croatia. Biography Dedić was born in Šibenik, in the Littoral Banovina of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, today Šibenik-Knin County, in region of Dalmatia, within Republic of Croatia, as the second child of Veronika (née Mišković) and Jovan Dedić. His father Jovan was an Orthodox Christian ethnic Serb, while his mother Veronika (nicknamed ''Jelka'') was a Croat, who converted from Catholicism to Serb Orthodoxy after marrying Jovan. September (band)
September was a Slovenian and Yugoslav rock band formed in Ljubljana in 1975. The band was formed by at-the-time already prominent musicians Janez Bončina (vocals), Tihomir "Pop" Asanović (organ), Petar Ugrin (trumpet, violin), Ratomir "Ratko" Divjak (drums), Čarli Novak (bass guitar) and Braco Doblekar (saxophone, percussion). The band's debut album, ''Zadnja avantura'', brought them nationwide popularity with its jazz rock sound. After its release, Ugrin, Divjak and Novak left the band. September was joined by Marijan Maliković (guitar), Jadran Ogrin (bass guitar) and Nelfi Depangher (drums), the new lineup recording the album ''Domovina moja'', with which they moved towards less complex, more rock-oriented sound. Janez Bončina
Janez Bončina, nicknamed Benč (born 3 December 1947) is a Slovenian composer, guitarist and singer. He is one of the leading authors and performers of Slovenian and Yugoslavian rock music. In the middle of the 1960s, Bončina with his friend Tomaž Domicelj from the group Helioni, showed his talent for music. Later with the group Mladi levi he founded the projects, which started the Slovenian pop rock scene. Biography In 1970–1972, he collaborated with the international group The Generals, and in 1972 he founded the rock group Srce. With selected Yugoslavian musicians, he founded the group September in 1975. Their music consisted of jazz rock, and was recognised domestically and internationally. Time was a rock band from SFR Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia that was formed in 1971 by Dado Topić (singing, vocals) after leaving his previous band Korni Grupa. The original lineup consisted of, in addition to Topić, Tihomir Pop Asanović, Tihomir "Pop" Asanović (organ (music), organ), Vedran Božić (guitar), Mario Mavrin (bass guitar, bass), Ratko Divjak (Drum kit, drums) and Brane Lambert Živković (piano and flute). Time frequently changed lineup and after three albums and many tours disbanded in late 1977 and Dado Topić started his solo career. Adolf "Dado" Topić (born 4 September 1950, Siverić at Drniš) is a rock musician from Croatia and the former Yugoslavia. He was the lead singer and founder of Time, a 1970s progressive rock band. From 1970 to late 1971, he was also the lead singer of the popular prog-rock band Korni Grupa (also known as The Kornelyans). He is a male vocalist who sang the entry from Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, together with the band Dragonfly. Smak ( sr-Cyrl, Смак; trans. ''The end time'') was a Serbian and Yugoslav band from Kragujevac. The group reached the peak of popularity in the 1970s when it was one of the most notable acts of the former Yugoslav rock scene. The band's leader, guitarist Radomir Mihailović, nicknamed Točak ("The Wheel"), is considered one of the most influential guitarists on the former Yugoslav rock scene. Teška Industrija (trans. "''Heavy Industry''") is a rock band from Bosnia and Herzegovina, based in Sarajevo. They are noted for a mixture of hard rock and prog-rock sound with elements of bosnian folk music and "symphonic" arrangements.
