Hloubětín (Prague)
Hloubětín (, german: Tiefenbach) is a district of Prague located from the centre, belonging mostly to Prague 9, with parts of it also belonging to Prague 14 and Prague 10. There were 10,704 people living in this area in 2001. The area, first recorded in the 13th century due to presence of the Teutonic Knights, became part of Prague in 1922. Today it is mainly an industrial area, located on the edge of Prague's so-called ''průmyslový polookruh'' (industrial semi-circle). During communist times, Hloubětín was well known as the home of the Tesla company. Etymology The name "Hloubětín" derives from the surname ''Hlúpata'', and was previously known as ''Lupatin'', ''Glupetin'', ''Hlupetin'' and ''Hloupětín'' before becoming Hloubětín in 1907. Hloubětín (Prague Metro)
Hloubětín () is a Prague Metro station on Line B, located in the eponymous district. It was opened on 15 October 1999 as an addition to the previously opened section of Line B. History This station was once a ghost station from 1998 to 1999. The station were in a state of suspended construction as the heavy industry factories it should have served were closed after the Velvet Revolution The Velvet Revolution ( cs, Sametová revoluce) or Gentle Revolution ( sk, Nežná revolúcia) was a non-violent transition of power in what was then Czechoslovakia, occurring from 17 November to 28 November 1989. Pardubice
Pardubice (; german: Pardubitz) is a city in the Czech Republic. It has about 89,000 inhabitants. It is the capital city of the Pardubice Region and lies on the Elbe River. R10 Expressway (Czech Republic)
Motorway D10 ( cs, Dálnice D10) is a motorway in the Czech Republic, running northeast from Prague to Mladá Boleslav and Turnov. It forms part of the European Route European route E65. The sections from Prague have been built since the 1970s and at that time, it was planned to build the expressway to the Polish border, not only to Turnov. The expressway reached Turnov in 1990. In 1993, the government decided that the section Turnov - Polish border would not be constructed. Thus, it is considered to be the first completed expressway in the Czech Republic. D11 Motorway (Czech Republic)
The D11 motorway ( cs, Dálnice D11) is a highway in the Czech Republic. Plans to build a highway connecting Prague and Hradec Králové date from 1938; construction finally began in 1978. Today it consists of one continuous segment Praha - Poděbrady - Libice nad Cidlinou - Libčany - Plačice - Plotiště - Smiřice - Jaroměř and last segment Jaroměř - Trutnov - border CZ/PL (polish expressway S3) is planned and waits for permits. It is part of European route E67 "Via Baltica" from Prague in the Czech Republic to Helsinki in Finland by way of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Three lanes in each direction are planned by 2025 between Prague and Jirny (8 km) and to Poděbrady after 2025. Tesla (stylized as TESLA) is a Czech brand of electronic appliances. The name was originally used by a state-owned conglomerate that was the monopoly producer of electronic appliances and components in the former Socialist Republic of Czechoslovakia.
