Hjalte Froholdt
Hjalte Froholdt (; born August 20, 1996) is a Danish professional American football guard for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played college football at Arkansas. Early years Froholdt began playing football in his native Denmark for the Svendborg Admirals. After spending his sophomore year as an exchange student at Warren G Harding high school in Warren, Ohio, he returned to Denmark and played for the U-19 youth team of the Søllerød Gold Diggers. He then attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, his senior year before signing to play with the University of Arkansas. College career Froholdt was recruited to Arkansas by then–head coach Bret Bielema, who in 2019 was the defensive line coach for the New England Patriots. In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Guards are to the right or left of the center. The guard's job is to protect the quarterback from the incoming defensive line, linemen during pass plays, as well as creating openings (holes) for the running backs to head through. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The National Basketball Association (NBA) does not have a direct analog to an injured reserve list, instead using a more general-purpose "inactive list" that does not require a player to be injured. Morten Andersen
Morten Andersen (born 19 August 1960), nicknamed the "Great Dane", is a Danish former American football placekicker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 25 seasons, most notably with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. Following a career from 1982 to 2007, Andersen holds the NFL record for regular season games played at 382. He also ranks second in field goals (565) and points scored (2,544). In addition to his league accomplishments, he is the Saints' all-time leading scorer at 1,318 points. Andersen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017 and, along with Jan Stenerud, is only one of two exclusive placekickers to receive the honor.
