''History in the Making'' is the debut solo studio album by American rapper J.R. Writer. It was released on June 27, 2006 through Diplomats/Koch Records. Recording sessions took place at Legindary Studios, at Santana's World, at Romeo Studios, and at Sony Music Studios in New York. Production was handled by Doe Boyz, Knoxville, Antwan "Amadeus" Thompson, Dame Grease, Dutch Beetz, Flaco The Great, I.N.F.O., J.U.S.T.I.C.E. Sony Music Studios
Sony Music Studios was an American music recording and mastering facility in New York City. The five-story building was a music and broadcasting complex located at 460 W. 54th Street, at 10th Avenue, in the Hell's Kitchen section of Manhattan. It opened in 1993 and closed in August 2007. In addition to being the production facility for new popular, classical, and other albums, it was also used as space for soundtrack recording and mixing, post-production, and rehearsals. Chad Lamont Butler (December 29, 1973 – December 4, 2007), better known by his stage name Pimp C, was an American rapper and record producer. He was best known for his work with Bun B as one half of the hip-hop duo Underground Kingz (UGK). Signing to Jive Records in 1992, UGK released their major-label debut album ''Too Hard to Swallow'' to critical acclaim.
