''Historia de un cobarde'' (English: ''History of a Coward'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by Ernesto Alonso for Telesistema Mexicano in 1964. A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. Mimí Bechelani
Mimí Bechelani was a Mexican actress, writer and screenwriter. She had spent her entire career writing for Televisa. Bechelani was also a radio announcer, as well as a writer of poetry, novels, dramas, films, and theater scripts, for radio, TV, theatre and film industry. Biography and life Mimí Bechelani de la Peña was born in Mexico City, Mexico, on September 5, 1917. Since she was a little girl she had a big imagination, was an avid reader and started to write since she was on elementary school. As a child, her father died, but she received a good education. Bechelani studied painting, English, French, history and theater. She accompanied Amparo Villegas to New York to dub English films in Spanish, after being discovered by Luis de Llano Palmer and being hired by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on the 1940s. Héctor Gómez (actor)
Héctor Alexis Gómez (born March 5, 1988) is a Dominican professional baseball infielder who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies and Milwaukee Brewers, and in the KBO League for the SK Wyverns. Career Colorado Rockies Gómez began his professional career in 2006 after being signed by scout Felix Feliz. He split the season between the Casper Rockies (50 games) and Tri-City Dust Devils (two games), hitting a combined .312 in 62 games. In 2007, he played for the Asheville Tourists, hitting .266 with 11 home runs and 20 stolen bases in 124 games. Ernesto Alonso
Ernesto Alonso (February 28, 1917 – August 7, 2007) was a Mexican producer, director, cinematographer and actor. He was nicknamed "''El Señor Telenovela''" ("Mr. Soap Opera") because most of his work centered on telenovelas known around the world. Acting career Ernesto began his career as an uncredited extra in '' La Zandunga'' (1938), a movie starring Lupe Vélez. He then appeared in 1939's "Papacito Lindo". His popularity grew as he starred in many films of the 1940s, including "La Gallina Culeca", "Historia de una gran Amor", "El Padre Morelas", "El Jorobado", "La Corte del Faraon", "Marina", "El Gallero", and "El Precio de la Gloria" in which he starred with his brother Alfonso Ramírez Alonso. Telesistema Mexicano was the predecessor of Televisa. Telesistema Mexicano was a television alliance made up of the independently owned television flagship stations XEW Canal 2, XHTV Canal 4, and XHGC Canal 5 in Mexico, Distrito Federal. Joaquín Cordero
Joaquín Cordero (; August 16, 1922 – February 19, 2013) was a Mexican actor of the cinema, theatre and telenovelas. Biography Shortly after his birth, Cordero's family moved to Mexico City, and in the following years he studied in a seminary and even considered becoming a priest, but eventually he decided to pursue a law career. After three years of law classes, against his family's wishes he decided to become an actor. He initially appeared in small roles but by his early fifties he was getting much larger roles. Eventually he became one of the most popular actors in Mexican cinema. Cordero also shown appeared in theatre and on television and in the latter medium in numerous telenovelas and winning numerous awards.
